Great speaker, great price.
I have to basically rewrite this review... update as follows: I tried this speaker again after receiving a warranty replacement of one that had been damaged during shipment and making noise the whole time of use but finally affecting sound. But the new speaker sounds amazing whether you use Bluetooth or aux connection. I cannot believe how good this truly sounds and now I am a true fan of Doss and their fine products as this is their third model that I own and love completely. This is an easy speaker to use, set up and operate. It has a bass boost which I don't use. Just leave it set at its default which is set to its fullest and sounds its best. Less and it just sounds way lifeless. Bluetooth pairs pretty fast but not as fast as the latest of gadgets out there today. But the sound quality and amount of volume and richness achieved the louder you go. Just buy this speaker already, it's beautiful and sounds great. You won't be let down. Unless you get a bad one. Then mail return it or call the company. Calling Doss is painless. They're so great! Thank you if you've read this far, Erin V Previou review---@ 4 ✨️✨️✨️✨️ The sound quality is pretty fantastic if you use a fair quality or better wired 3.5mm to 3.5mm aux cable that is not included to connect your media source to the aux input connection of this speaker. I did not like the Bluetooth of this speaker, I admit I have audiophile or hifi taste that I sometimes like to adhere to when it is available and this speaker lives up to those standards quite capably when using the wired connection. At original settings I did not like the beeps that are at power on and again at off and then at another time I can't remember, they are a little bit obnoxiously loud. I think the light that indicates what is going on as far as what setting you are using or what input you are using is very useful but is hard to see at its current location depending on where you locate the speaker and the indicator light could maybe be located to a central part of the speaker. These 2 things, the light and the beeps can be disabled, by the way, if you'd like, it's mentioned in the instruction manual. If I could redesign this speaker I'd include a remote to the features of this particular model as this isn't very portable and likely to be indoor permanently by most users. A remote should definitely be in the future for a continued model of the like for the on/off and a few other controls such as maybe pairing and bass boost. The remote would also set it apart functionality wise apart from the long list of bluetooth speakers on the market. It has a very slight learning curve if you are new to the world of Bluetooth speakers, but if not everything functions as it should and has no problems that I have encountered. The instructions are very helpful if you are new to this type of speaker however. The included (charging) cord is a fine length but should be permanently connected and with a wall plugin on it in my eyes. At the current discounted price it is an exceptionally great value and even at slightly less than original price is a great price. I quite enjoy the sound of this and must find out how it improves by adding a second speaker so I am now needing to buy the second one, so be warned you may also find yourself with this curiosity and want to buy the a second speaker. Haha

A perfect mid size portable speaker for the price
This is an amazing 'portable' speaker. It has a quite large size which makes it hard to bring to places, but for casual listening it lasts long and it sounds phenomenal. It sounds good enough for one to notice songs that are lower quality vs songs that are very high in quality which is a first for speakers tried personally. That makes it an 8.5 out of 10 for me, and especially in its price range. I reccomend one. The only thing unfortunate is to get the max bass out of it you need to set it in a mode for bass and configure an EQ for bass, and that makes the audio sound slightly distorted(muddy almost). Nevertheless, this is a good product, and if it goes on sale it is definitely worth picking one up.

Powerful, quality build and sound!
Powerful little Bluetooth box. Weighty and substantially constructed. Tastefully styled in any room without any of the tacky black plastic embellishments that afflict other similar products. Not the absolute greatest right out of the box, but with the right EQ app to tweak the sound, it spits out VERY high quality audio for the price point.

Very loud if you need it & sounds great.
I got one on sale & it's pretty nice for a bluetooth speaker. I suggest reading the user manual if you want to access a few unique options, two of which I've not seen on other bluetooth speakers personally, like the ability to turn off all sound prompts while still seeing with an led indicator when you change activate or deactivate an option or feature being one of them. One feature I've also not personally seen on other bluetooth speakers this one includes that's much appreciated, it gives you the ability to disconnect & reconnect to the last device used from the speaker, on top of that when you turn it off then back on it will only connect if you re-enable it from the speaker avoiding audio switching straight from the last device causing problems say if you're on a phone call or anything else you don't want openly broadcast on accident. Only negative thing I can say is it's way too easy to listen to audio at unsafe levels with any high power speakers, including this one, and that's no fault of the speaker it's just something to be aware of. I gave myself a pretty bad headache turning the volume full blast, so I'd suggest enjoying your audio at a safe level & distance because it sounds really good until you hurt your ears or head. This DOSS brand makes some really good smaller bluetooth speakers too if you don't need this much volume, because this thing could seriously make your neighbors angry ha.

No power
Owned speaker for one year. Played about once a week. I charged it and now the speaker no longer powers up.

Great sound quality!
Great product! This is the second one I bought due to a student dropping the other one and unfortunately breaking it. Sound is clear and crisp and projects extremely well. Hope I don’t have to get another one soon, but would not hesitate to purchase a third time!

As you might see, I bought two of them, when I found out that they can be connected to eachother and play as stereo system. When I have set all up, and I played some music, I was amazed how loud this can be.. The bass sounds like it would come from subwoofer. Clarity of the sound makesb it very pleasing to listening, you can choose wether you want or not the bass boost, and when they are connected together, you can just simply press and hold on one of each M/Bass button in order to disable or enable Bass Boost. Battery life is outstanding, as well as connectivity, because pairing them together is almost flawless, just press on each after turning On them, TWS button, them they will automatically connect together. In my opinion, White colour and decent size, makes them look futuristic, especially when you don't need for any type of cables in order to use them. I only connect them to charger using long usb C and a charger with 2 45W connectors, just in order to charge them without moving them around just to charge them. They are quite expensive, and I bought them with a discount, which is showing here sometimes, and I would love to see LDAC or any Aptx support in the future models, because they're using SBC only, which isn't ideal, but sounds great anyway. Overall in short answer, do I recommend them ? Yes and no.. yes if you can find them on the discount, not really if paying full price (especially when buying two of them simultaneously)

I picked up the DOSS SoundBox Ultra because I’ve been a fan of DOSS for years. I still have one of their speakers from 6 years ago, and it continues to sound amazing. This new model is even better—great bass, clean overall sound, and very easy to use. The packaging is professional and the build quality feels solid. For the $90 I paid, it’s a great value. I’m actually planning to buy a second one so I can pair them in TWS for even bigger sound. One thing to be aware of: the base is fairly small, so the speaker can tip forward or backward if bumped. Mine tipped backward while I was moving it and ended up breaking the end of my charging cable. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Overall, I’m really happy with this upgrade and definitely recommend it.

The sound is good - I am using this for a portable keyboard set-up to go into care homes (everything is battery powered). It works better if you get it up against a wall (adds wall reflection). I had hoped for a little more bass, but it is good for groups of 20 or so. I have owned smaller DOSS speakers before and thought they gave good performance for the money - same with this one.

Sound is great and it looks great. The only thing I would change is I don't know how long the charge is so sometimes I am caught with the music stopping when I have a room full of people meditating. My Bose speaker spoke to me if there was "20% left", etc. Valuable feature to have. Otherwise, would give this a 5 star.
