RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit with Neck Lanyard for DJI Mini 5 Pro/Mini 4 Pro/Mavic 4 Pro/Flip/Air 3S/Air 3 Accessories

This is a great shade and device protector for the RC 2 Controller. It appears high quality as if it is a DJI product. The installation for both the shade/cover and lanyard are straight forward and it doesn not obscure any functionality on the controller. It is super convenient (and protective) to hang the controller around your neck and not have to install, or worry about, the joysticks or screen. I did also install a screen protector by Cynova (Amazon) but I suspect the one that you can bundle with this would be fine as well. Some reviewers complained that either the main cover or flip up extra shade wouldn't stay in place. I haven't found that to be the case and they supplied a special screw driver to tighten the hinges should it become necessary. Once you figure out the packing strategy, it fits well in the Mini 4 Pro bag with everything that comes in the combo package (drone, batteris, charger bank, cables, propellers, etc.). The only issue for some may be that if you want to mount the controller on a handlebar, most adapters for this want to occupy the same space on the bottom of the controller so if you want to do this, you will most likely need to remove this cover. It would be great if they built the bottom of this unit with a female threaded camera mount on the bottom. However, removing and replacing the cover is quick and easy.

The Arzroic RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit has truly upgraded my drone flying experience. This is a really nice kit from my initial impressions. The protective sun hood installs easily, works great and it still fits inside the Mini 5 Pro case with the protective Sun hood and strap installed. I’m 6’4” tall and the strap had to be extended all the way out for my comfort, but it would’ve been nice if it were a few inches longer. I haven’t installed the screen protector yet, but the rest of the kit looks very nice and I’m happy with my purchase. 10/6/25 Update I bought the Lykus Titan MM510 Waterproof Hard Case for the DJI Mini 5 Pro and RC 2. The RC 2 fits inside this hard case with the Arzroic RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit installed. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but it works and the strap/lanyard is tucked underneath.

Fits great and comes with a tool to tighten the hinges. I am disappointed a bit that the screen protector wasn’t in the package, however.

This is a well-made hard plastic shell and lanyard that fit my RC2 controller quite well, and offers convenience (for carrying), protection and shade. The screen protector in the bundle, despite my best efforts at affixing it carefully with pressure, developed a "bubble" in the bottom left corner of the screen. Fortunately the bubble does not seem to hamper visibility, and there seem to be two other protectors in the bundle, so if it eventually comes off I can try again. The shell was thin enough that it fits within a separate hard case with contoured foam that I purchased from a different vendor.

I was looking for a lanyard for my drone when I cam across this kit (I am really not sure why DJI would not include one with any of the combo kits). This is an excellent kit for the RC2 controller with tempered glass screen protectors, a glare hood and lanyard. The hood fits well and addresses glare when outside while also protecting the screen during storage. I like that I do not have to take the controller sticks off when transporting the unit as this provides protection with the sticks in place. Be mindful that the RC2 with installed hood struggles to fit in the provided shoulder bag and may not fit in custom fit cases for the Mini 5 Pro

A bit tight from the sides but i guess that's built like that on purpose. Does the job perfectly. Accommodates the sticks very well so no need to dissemble the sticks after every use,, just keep it stay as it is. Also helps in direct sunlight for which it is actually made for.

I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro with the RC2, and really wanted a sun shade. I was searching and found this, and here’s what I really like: good quality, perfect fit (screws lined up perfectly and it I stalled easy), solid design and good alignment completely around the controller, fits perfectly in the DJI shoulder bag without really taking up much more room than without it, lets you stop putting the joysticks on and off (you’re gonna drop one eventually in the tall grass, trust me on this) because it covers and protects them while installed, it has a great sun shade extension flap that really helps when the sun is just at that angle where you’d otherwise have to nearly cover your screen with the single visor, it includes a really handy little screwdriver for the hinge screws so you can snug them exactly how you want so it’s either really loose, or firm hinge opening (including the sun shade extension flap hinge), it is cut perfectly to not interfere with my Hanatora aluminum bracket I use to attach my lanyard (I like that product too, btw), and the gray color looks like it’s a DJI part. What I don’t like? Nothing. I think if I take care of this, don’t overtighten the hinge screws, and treat it with respect, it’ll last. That’s why the 5 stars!
