Does the dust collector actually work or does it spew dust all over the place?

It leaks straight through the fabric bag.. so it’s pretty useless.—like almost every brand of orbital sanding dust collectors, my dewalt no better.

Will this work with bosch compatible papers? there is no mention of the correct paper to use, and no paper options mention b&d compatibility.

Yes. I ordered a box of Bosch papers (80 - 220 grain) and they work great with B&D.

Is there anyway to get into corners or sand curves with this sander? Is that a problem?

Sanding curves is no problem but it won't get into enclosed corners
