Whether you are wanting to display appreciation for your Arabic heritage, show solidarity or simply looking for a way to add a bit of style to your black and white outfits, this fashionable scarf is the perfect choice for you! This classic 47” x 47” black and white Arabic scarf is traditionally known as Keffiyeh, Kufiya, Hatta or Shemagh scarf. They are carefully made in Palestine by Palestinian people and imported directly in order to ensure the highest level of quality assurance and authenticity. You can dress them up or you can wear them with casual outfits such as jeans and a tee. The large size allows them to be worn as a neck scarf or used for a wide variety of other purposes such as a protective head covering, a handy towel or a comfy throw blanket. Unlike lesser quality scarves, ours are incredibly soft and extremely comfortable. They are made out of a breathable cotton material which keeps you cool on hot summer days and warm during the cold winter months. The black-and-white kufiya is often referred to as the unofficial Palestinian flag, and carries deep meaning for many who wear it. There are numerous stories about the origin of its pattern. It is said to represent a fishing net, a honeycomb, the joining of hands, or the marks of dirt and sweat wiped off a worker’s brow, among other things. Well, what are you waiting for? It's time to add one of these stylish Arabic scarves to your collection of fashion accessories. Kufiya Nation is authorized Hirbawi re-seller. We only sell scarves that are meant for export and are of the highest grade cotton material. We work directly with the factory with no middlemen involved

This is the best by far of all the Shemagh I own
Listen up Ladies. This is the best by far of all the Shemaghs I own. The quality screams at you right out of the package. Weather or not you support the struggle in Palestine or not, If you use it for tactical purposes or as a statement of support, or just want the best quality available, I believe that this scarf will last you for years. Unlike the cheap re-pops from China. I support quality workmanship and authenticity, no matter what part of the world I'm working in.G.Sgt. USMC

Great Shemagh!
Beautiful dark blue color! It is a lot bigger than what I expected, my first time purchasing it, and I am completely satisfied with it. I use it for almost everything: blocking the sun on my head, head band, scarf, lunch, etc. Will recommend and purchase again!UPDATE: 9/10/16Ok, so normally I do not review products of anything, even if they're good. However, the shemagh and the seller must be praised! You will not be disappointed with the quality and shipping speed from them. This is my second time purchasing shemagh's from them. The first purchase was the blue and green. Both are beautiful colors with a mesmerizing unique pattern to it.Until recently I bought both a black and the black & white one. Again I am NOT disappointed with my purchase. If you are looking for a great shemagh for whatever reason you may want to use it for, look no further. They are great for scarves, headbands, camping, shade, backpacks, ANYTHING!From what I have, the black & white one is big. Bigger than the blue, green, and black shemagh. The black shemagh does have patterns to it, and it's actually a lot darker than what the pictures makes it look like. It also has a different feel to it compared to the other 3 (like silk almost), and would probably wear it on special occasions.

High quality - just what I was looking for
Disclosure: I have no association with the seller nor did I receive any price breaks to entice purchasing the product. Note that I am an Amazon Prime member (preferential shipping)1) This Shemagh was expensive (+$25) compared to others I have purchased (~$11).2) Excellent material: I would estimate the weave was roughly 20 threads/in compared to 10 threads/in of the cheaper one. I do not have enough experience with Shemagh's to know whether the heavier, sturdier material is desired for hot weather (for cold weather, without thinking I would select the Hirbawi product), but the Hirbawi is certainly more robust than the cheaper one. I consider the cheaper one more of a disposable product and the Hirbawi more robust for long term use.3) Nearly odor free, but just a hint. The cheaper one had a very strong odor that I attribute to the dye.4) I hand washed the cheaper one in cold water (no soap). Round 1, the water was pitch black. Round 2, the water was dark black. Round 3, the water was still black, maybe dark gray. I stopped rinsing. With the Hirbawi scarf, there was only a very faint *hint* of blue so I only rinsed once.5) The Hirbawi scarf is a legitimate 44"x44", and with very slight tugging, it is more like 46"x46" or larger (unlike the cheaper one which claimed to be 42"x42" but I would say it is more like 40"x40". The extra 4" is a significant difference when it comes to using it for protection from the sun (shawl to protect back of the neck and brim to keep sun out of eyes).6) Finally, I ordered on Wednesday and received it on Friday (I love Amazon Prime)While the Hirbawi carries a price premium (you can purchase 2 of the cheaper ones and walk away with some change), the quality level is unmistakably higher. In the end, I recommend both the product and the company (and Amazon Prime shipping).

Works great in 115F heat
Best one on the market. I bought this last month for a hiking trip out in the Mojave desert. It was 115F and this worked like a charm to keep me cool. A bit pricier than others yes, but you wont be disappointed. I have bought the cheaper ones as well, and was disappointed with them... both in size and material. You get what you pay for. So if you want the best, get this one.

Fantastic quality! This was the first of two shemaghs ...
Fantastic quality! This was the first of two shemaghs that I bought from HibrawiUSA. I support the struggles of the Palestinian people and will continue to show my support through the purchase of these shemaghs. The unique patterns and color schemes Hibrawi offers and the quality at which their shemaghs are made is extraordinary. The product is very comfortable straight out of its packaging which aside from hanging them is the probably next best way to store them (can't find anything with a quick google search).Folded in half its a bit wider than my 6ft armspan. I use the shemaghs while I ride my road bicycle to keep me warm and suppress the wind. These are light weight, unique, and supports something we could very well lose in the near future. If you're struggling to decide which shemagh to get, spend the extra money and buy the good s*** that supports a cause that matters! They're the biggest and best shemaghs on the market!

Best in bad times
Medical masks are virtually unavailable (ones that work) at this moment in time. I bought a couple boxes before the shortage. They are not the best but they'll do for now. I also bought a couple of shemaghs to compensate for the terrible quality of what passes for medical face masks. I am not disappointed. This one is substantially better good weave, the cotton is not too heavy not too light makes a non slip cinch and tuck, it fits tight over the so-called medical mask I'm wearing underneath; no problem breathing.

Avoid the inferior Chinese knock-offs 🤪
Arrived in good time and I am so happy with the quality of the genuine article.More important is the fact that I am helping to keep alive the original manufacturer of kufiyas, one that nearly went under.Avoid the cheap Chinese knock-offs. Buy the original and best and keep the industry going! The real quality will be apparent after the first wash although I have every confidence!Thank you Hirbawi!Update: First wash went we, although I lo he unique smell of the brand new garment :( Quality still shines through though :)

Best quality available today...
I have several Kufeyah/Shemagh/Keffeyeh/hatta. Some I have had for a while, but lately, in the depths of the whole COVID-19 thing, I have been adding to my collection with some from Amazon, and reviews of those are elsewhere (Free Soldier Shemagh - Black and White set amongst others) Although facemasks make little difference - akin to using a sock as a condom. I deal with the public as a keyworker (Roadside Breakdown and Recovery) so occasionally have to use a face covering to soothe any fears that people I interact with may have. A Kufeyah is a good option (As are bandanas but not as warm)The ones I already have are made in China/India, and are actually pretty good FOR THE MONEY. Obviously price plays into any consideration, and for what I paid, I consider them good quality, worthy of their positive rating, and are still in rotation, along with 2 that I have had for over ten years (which are getting a bit tatty, but still fulfill their function and actually still look good.)Although a Kufeyah is a mostly functional item, which has evolved over many years to protect the wearer from harsh conditions in that part of the world. They have become a clothing staple, and synonymous with middle eastern fashion, and adopted by the rest of the world as a stylish and infinitely practical accessory. Including the military/tactical set. But ultimately the practicality is foremost. The Damask weaving technique is used because it increases the air trapping, comfort and sand filtering qualities while limiting the weight, which means you will always have the occasional thread pull, the odd bit of unraveling and a few imperfections. This will age the garment over the years, developing a character of its own. However, the ones I have had for a decade are still going, and these should last even longer. If you seek a pristine visual appearance, you would be better off with a Gucci shawl or a standard scarfI have included some images to show the differences between this genuine Hirbawi, and one of my others that I consider good quality. You’ll notice that the size difference. The Hirbawi is approx 60 mm or 2.5 inches larger all round, and measures the stated 47 inches. This allows for greater flexibility in wearing options. As you’ll see, the thread count is a little finer, and the embroidery is of a slightly better standard.Importantly, the tasseled edges are finished in a completely different fashion. Instead of gathering up a certain number of the loose threads from the weave, and knotting them at regular intervals. The Hirbawi has folded and overlocked edges, which then have a pre embroidered edging strip, with integrated tassels sewn on. This makes the edges almost indestructable and leads me to believe that this will have a very long life (the edges are where my old ones are failing)What the images dont show is just how soft the Hirbawi is, and how comfortable it is to wear and how nicely it drapes. As this is the genuine article, developed and manufactured for locals to fulfill a function, comfort would be high on the list of priorities, and the choice of cotton, and method of manufacture are all important. You just don’t get the same attention to detail and product knowledge on a copy made to look a certain way.Wash separately by hand till there is no further dye run off. I usually wash my shemaghs on a standard 40 degree wash having placed them in a mesh bag (the 25p produce bags you can find in the veg dept at Aldi are perfect) My other Shemaghs have survived this just fine. Initial new smell is similar to a new tent reminding me of past camping outings and certainly not offensive. These are, without doubt, superior items. The size, the look, the feel, the comfort and the colours are all better. This is reflected in the price, which is a bit steep. But the price will soon be forgotten, and considering the added benefits I’ve talked about is worth the extra IMO.Political considerations aside. I am glad that I purchased this Kufeyah. My decision was guided mainly by the fact that the manufacturer is an independant family concern. Human beings that actually make a product, superior to anything else I’ve managed to find with generations of experience to boot, so it’s a win-win.I’m already deciding which one I’ll be getting next. I’ll update this review over time. But I already think I’m going to be happy with them all...

Wears Well
I've worn shemaghs before but this is without doubt the best in quality and design. I chose white because I take my dog out early and like to be seen in the dark but there is a choice of several. Some say it is expensive but the main thing is it will last, unlike cheaper items on sale here and it is genuine. Anyone who has worn one in the past will know how multi-functional a shemagh is in any climate. Even more so now during the current crisis because it acts as your personal 'mask', without actually looking like a mask and upsetting the anti-mask brigade!

Excellent
Much better quality than most. Arrives with a leaflet that is supposed to confirm origins, no idea if genuine but the product is good, lightweight and well finished. Great multi purpose accessory for hot, cold or dust.
