Absolutely brilliant phone holder for my A3. The gravity system is great but I can see how some people think it is broken. Easy to fit into car between the vents. I had to play with it a bit as my iPhone has a thick case so I cut the rubbers in the bottom and it works flawlessly.

Bought for 2013 model A3 (8v). Fitted in 2 minutes using plastic tool to prise out the vents a few mm. Great MagSafe phone holder which looks the part and which is very secure. I would highly recommend.

It fits well in a good position for the phone. I have changed out the passive magentic ring for a active charging one. Something like a Lisen which is illuminated and holds the phone well is good.

Nice and sturdy, mostly metal, holder. Does the job. It does rattle very quietly at speeds of about 50mph +. You do notice the rattle, but get used to it fairly quickly (or can't hear it as have music on)

I find that this particular phone stand is very overpriced in comparison to what you get in the box. However, during usage I have had no problems and if installed correctly, you'll barely notice it during driving. First of all, it looks good as it blends in with the interior and looks like an OEM feature of your vehicle. During installation, it is a pain to remove the vents slightly so I recommend using a strap wrench or a plastic pry tool to pull out the vents instead of your fingers (which I did and it was very painful). It must be positioned correctly or else you may risk scratching your vents but once installed, the vents click back into place and you'll be surprised how quick it is to install if you've done it correctly. The actual phone mount just about fits the iPhone 11 Pro Max with apple's clear case on it and it hold quite well. If you find that the mount is quite loose, it's because the screw at the back hasn't been tightened enough but once it is tightened (not over-tightened) then it will hold your phone without any hassle. As there is no other vent mounts for the Audi A3, I'd have to recommend this product especially if you have an MIB-S navigation system installed which costs over £400 to update every year and sucks really badly!

Firstly I don't often leave reviews but I thought I would for this product. I bought this for my S3 (2016 plate) after realising the Audi didn't have anywhere suitable to place my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21+ which is a big phone and it has a fairly thick case on it, about 14mm at the base edge. It is also way heavier that the supposed weight allowance in the description of the product. So I bought the holder hoping for the best but wasn't too much. Anyway it installed easily (you just need to wiggle the air vents out a bit, try and use something plastic and not too sharp). It is designed that you open up the arms, slot your phone in and the weight of the phone closes the arms up again. With my phone and case it does fit leaving a little allowance, great. The bottom arm of the holder just fits around the edge of the phone (may a mm off but it is really not an issue. If you have tightened the screw correctly on the holder that holds it at the angles you want correctly, it holds the phone perfectly. No wobble at all. This is not the holders fault but Audi's (as they have not designed a suitable area for a phone holder) but when the phone is in the holder it does obscure the dash pop-up display a little and the hazard lights button below it, but this is easily lived with. Basically with a heavy large phone it works perfectly. It even looks good without the phone in it. I am very happy I bought this holder and can highly recommend it.
