I was trying to stop using plastic straws without fully committing to suffering through paper ones. These are the first ones that actually feel like a real solution. They hold up in drinks, don’t get soggy, and don’t have a paper taste. I use them for iced coffee, cocktails, clear protein drinks. They work across the board... probably nothing hot though. They’ve got a slightly firmer feel, kind of like a natural version of plastic, without the self-loathing. These sugarcane straws have become one of my favorite travel hacks. If you’ve been to resorts in Mexico, Costa Rica, or the Caribbean lately, you already know ... plastic straws are mostly gone, and what’s offered instead (if anything) is often those paper ones that go limp halfway through your drink. I know a lot of people pack reusable metal straws when they travel, but I’m just not that person. I lose things constantly, and I really don’t love the idea of cleaning straws while I’m in a place where the tap water isn’t potable. Plus, I don’t want to spend half my vacation rinsing gunk out of a straw. Enter these compostable sugarcane straws ... total game-changer. I take a handful with me on every trip. They’re super lightweight, totally guilt-free, and I can toss them after using without any waste anxiety. They don’t get soggy like paper, and they hold up just fine for cocktails, smoothies, iced coffee ... you name it. I even use them at home now. They’re great in cold drinks, and even hold up surprisingly well in warm ones (I use them for matcha lattes around 150–160°F with no issue). They can warp a bit if you go hotter than that, so I wouldn’t use them for boiling liquids - but that’s expected with any plant-based straw.

RE: HANSGO Sugarcane Straws, 200PCS These straws are great! Don't let the "Sugarcane" fool you. They aren't sweet; they've got no taste. They just feel good in the mouth - so much nicer than paper or plastic. These straws don't disintegrate or turn to mush like paper straws do. They don't crack and they aren't brittle like plastic straws often are. I have kept one of these straws standing in a glass all day which I continue refilling with water and tea all day long and by the end of the day, both ends of the straw are still perfectly in tact. I've even added hot tea to my glass and the straw remains firm. I am so happy I found these. I hope they are never discontinued.

Love these replacements for my stainless steel straws. Perfect volume flow and sturdy enough to last all day. Would purchase again.

Great straws, do not dissolve like paper straws. I would not recommend for hot drinks.

Love these straws! Ever since I saw the glass straw video on TikTok, I got paranoid of mine. Switched to these compostable straw and they easily last the day. Only thing I’m a bit sketched out from is they’re just sitting in the box they were sent in, but I guess the plastic they would wrap it in is bad for the environment so I’ll let it pass. Great environmentally friendly straws!
