I did not know there could be a significant difference, but there is in the quality of isopods. We needed a set to put into our bioactive snail habitat, and these were not only a super healthy size, but they were also super active in the container and once released into the tank. They took a few seconds to unroll then they were busily exploring, a few found the carrot and started eating. It was fun to watch, and that was not the case when we had ordered from other vendors over the years for other habitats. This bunch came with a rolly polly pocket case that was so cute as well. If we ever decide to get more isopods, we will definitely choose this vendor.

PKG arrived 2 days after ordering. I ordered 30 orange and 20 blues. Both came in cups and were bagged...no chance of having a spill in the box. Tons of insulation (I believe would hold up fine in below freezing temps). The soil in the cups still had good moisture and the iso's all were active and looked to be a healthy colony.

All of my Rollie Pollys were alive and well! They were packaged extremely carefully, and the little "Pocket Bug" idea is adorable and genius. I might even carry one around with me lol It arrived quickly and the price was great. I love it.

I was sad to open the package of classic rolly's to find not a single one moving. I know the temperature in my area was within the recommended range, but perhaps somewhere between the sell and my region it got too hot for them? I waited about 30 minutes to see if any would "wake up" after placing them in their new living quarters (my students really enjoyed gathering the soil, leaves, and twigs to build the rollys' new home) but sadly none did. They didn't even curl into a protective ball when they were moved into their new home. The seller was amazing and promptly refunded this part of the order (thank you). Eventually I did have 2 of the 20 rolly's "wake up" and survive, but the rest had to be moved to a separate container and still have not moved hours later. I could tell the seller really cares about the business and their rolly polly's when speaking with her and I was sad that the temperatures got them. I will definitely order from them again the next time we need them! Fun fact: the idea for pocket pets is from the shop owner's son and he breeds the rolly pollys himself!

I bought these little guys for my terrarium in my living room. They are a great addition and I know they will help keep the soil nice and clean. They are healthy and good sizes. Great value for the price!
