Best Beginners Compound Bow
Best beginner compound bowPros- very budget-oriented with everything it includes- As advertised nothing was missing and everything is top quality despite it being all plastic.- clear to follow instructions- easy to set upCons- Bow release failed twice- The arrows are cheap and flimsy Prefer their carbon X8 arrows- if not given close attention it can be difficult to set up -See YouTube videos on how to set up ifyou are having issuesRecommendation - If you are maxing out the bow (30lb at 28in) I recommend getting 600 spine arrows with 100-grain tips :DSanlida if possible I would like a Black version of this bow. This is my second Compound Bow ever, but it is an incredible one. For Starters, this is a plastic bow, From the riser the limbs and the cams are all plastic, I am not 100% sure but it is PA66 plastic. Because it is plastic it is very lightweight at around 3Lbs. It is a pretty small bow measuring from axel to axel 28'' and just like the description of the bow said it has a 7-inch brace hight. The bow length can be adjusted by a little screw in both cams, from 19'' to 28'' draw length and the weight can be adjusted by loosening the bow limbs screw by a max of 8 full turns (screwing the limbs screw tight then giving it 8 full turns from there) you can also reference the limb bolt which is the silver metal circle at the ends, there you can see how much you have to screw and unscrew, to get the lowest poundage make sure the bottom of the limb screw is flushed to the bottom of the limb bolt, DO NOT unscrew past that if so you can cause the bolt coming to lose and the limbs to flying out.It comes with everything advertised, the attachable quiver, release, stabilizer peep sight, and sight with 12 arrows and a paper target. To start I will say that the arrows are pretty bad, they're good enough to get the job done but that is about it, I previously bought the Sanlida Noble recurve bow (Amazing bow 100% recommend) and it came with 6 black and blue 500 spine carbon arrows, and they are much better than the fiberglass arrow they include, hope if it does not increase the price they can switch to these carbon arrows better, id rather have 6 good quality arrows than 12 crappy ones. According to a few Arrow Spine charts, a 600-spine, 100-grain tip arrow will be ideally the best arrow set up for this bowI came about an issue with the bow release, I had it fail on me twice. I attached the release to the d loop and while I was pulling it back it let go without me touching the trigger this only happened twice so now I hold the trigger from the back shut to keep it from opening and causing it to fire before I want it to. The included arrow rest does its job but I wish it could have come with a whisker biscuit-style arrow rest better. I am mainly a recurve bow person and the risers are much ticker, using this bow makes the corner of my hurt a bitother than that it is an amazing bow, people in the comments said it is difficult to adjust, but I did not find it so, much because I have experience but it is just time-consuming, not difficult but an idea would be if Sanlidas would make a video on how to set up there compound bows wither here or on youtube. i 10/10 would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a compound bowUpdateThe included bow release is just not good, it has failed me a total of 37 times now, even if I place my finger behind the trigger to try to keep it shut. I will need to get a new one. I do not know what is causing this but it has made me break 3 arrows, almost made me dry fire once, and made me shoot a wall multiple times. I got in contact with sanlida customer support and they will be sending a new release. They were so kind and swift in solving my issue. It shows they care.

Great for beginner archery
Bought 2 of these for my boys 8 &11 yrs oldThey are easily adjustable and impressive quality for the price.I would say my 11yr old is at the max and will be looking to upgrade this year.Arrows are not great, only used for the first two days before getting real Arrows.

Poor Quality and Performance
I bought the Sanlida Dragon X6 for my child, but it’s been disappointing. The assembly instructions were unclear, and the draw length adjustment system is faulty. The included arrows are flimsy and affect accuracy. The bow feels flimsy and its performance decreased after a few uses. Not recommended for beginners or kids.

Great bow get it before the tarriffs hit!
The media could not be loaded. What a deal this is a kids bow that takes standard archery mounted products from the other makers of archery sights quivers rests etc… i was pleasantly surprised to see how sturdy it is and how well it shoots. You can leave it as is or do what we did and swap parts. Hitting targets at 20 yards is a non issue. Out of the box it comes with what seems like fiberglass arrows which i put away and made some carbon arrows to replace them so they fly flatter faster and hit better. Id buy this again my son loves it and it will be a great bow for him to eventually move up to an adult bow. Easy to adjust pull length which also changes the pull weight together. After you install the accessories level everything and it will work great. If a compound bow is not working well its usually because it has not been tuned. You cannot just screw everything in place and expect it to work right you need to put an arrow in and line everything up square top to bottom left and right you can do it.

Good for kids, small adults
I recently this bow so my girlfriend could shoot with me. the price was low which is perfect for our purpose which is just shooting a target, not actually hunting. If you plan to take your kid or small adult hunting I’d opt for something higher end. Some reviews mention it to be difficult to assemble but I found it very easy. If you’ve ever held a bow before you’d know exactly how to put this together. The size is small and it is light and the draw weight is light as well making it great for starters. Again, I wouldn’t recommend this for large adults and experienced hunters. The arrows it came with are a bit heavy so they do not shoot perfectly straight so consider upgrading your arrows at some point as well to improve performance. The color is very cool, like a green grey combo that I like. It comes with all the attachments needed to get started. The draw is smooth and light and the bow sits comfortably in a small hand.

Great bows for the price
The Bows are of good quality, much better than what a cheaper bow was 10 years ago, the arrow rests they come with are cheap the bushes will wear out after 100 shots. Get a better rest and you’ll be good to go, the arrow it comes with aren’t terrible but they aren’t great either, very light spine. With the Dragon 8 I found personally it shoots great with a 340 spine

Excellent Beginner Bow for a young shooter
This is a great 1st bow for a young shooter. Easy setup, if you know how to set up a bow. I dialed the draw weight down and set the peep site for my 7 y/o Grandson to shoot. He did great and loves it. The kit comes with everything you need to set it up and start shooting. The supplied arrows are very heavy and great for a young shooter that may have arrows go beyond the target. Accuracy is not as important as good mechanics at this age. Great job putting together a quality bow package at a great entry level price.
