Hand sewing only
Looking at the listing for this thread more carefully, they never said specifically that you can't use this in a regular home model sewing machine nor did they say that you could. They just gave a lot of ways it could be used and all involved hand sewing. Since I them out for testing/reviewing some other thread, I tried to see if I could thread a size 16 needle with it without the needle being in the machine. Nope. The second that I touched the thread to the eye of the needle, the plies split which made it totally impossible to thread the needle until you trimmed the end. So I pulled out my size 18 sewing machine needles. I had three brands so tried them all. The holes were all too small for the thread. I am not aware of sewing machine needles coming bigger than size 18 so this tells me that this thread can not be used in a home sewing machines. If you can't use regular sewing machine needle with this thread, I'm not going to try to run it through my very expensive sewing machine. I am sure that there are industrial machines that can take this size of thread but I don't have one. I would also have liked to see a label on the spool itself stating the brand, the fiber content, thread size, thread color/number, etc. Once thread gets removed from their packaging there is nothing left on the spool to identify it which can be frustrating. If you can find a proper hand sewing needle then there are things that you an use this thread for. One thing that comes to mind is if you need to gather some fabric. You can lay this cord down (no needle needed) and zigzag over it (not sewing on the thread) and then you can pull the thread and you have your fabric gathered. To keep it gathered, you sew a straight stitch over the gathers and then remove the thick thread. The listing also gives ideas on how to use it as well. I am sure creative types can also think up other uses for it.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this thread. Thank you.

Pnytty 0.8mm Waxed Thread,1200D 400m/437 Yard
Got this for bookbinding. Forgot to check what material it is. Cannot find material anywhere on product listing or product. Burn test says synthetic. I'm displeased with that.Color and thickness are fine. Amount of wax it fine. I guess I can use this for more personal-decorative or practice books but not anything to be graded on.

Heavy wax
I got this to try with my jewelry making, but I'm not impressed with it over all... Mostly personal preference issues. Seems sticky from all the wax, and if your bead holes are tight, the wax squeezes up on the bead. Hard to tighten the cord around stones. Again, personal preferences because I usually use a braided, unwaxed cord.

Good Quality and Value
This is the first time I have used this Pnytty 0.8mm Waxed Thread to sew leather with, and so far I really like it. It threads very smoothly and doesn't get hung up in the leather. Overall, it's good quality and I definitely recommend it.
