Great price for nice bino.
I got this bino from a friend's recommendation and did a comparing to two other binos that I own. An old Zykkor made in Japan (roughly a $50 value) and a Pentax 12.5x50 DCF SP (around $500 value). My first impression of this bino is its compact size and light weight design, due to the roof prism it uses. Just see the picture that I hold it with one hand. This is actually quite important when you bring it out, as light weight makes hand-holding easier and makes image more stable.Next is the optical quality or the real image feeling. I use this for both night sky observing and daytime terrestrial viewing. In the evening I watched the moon, Jupiter and a few bright stars. For the moon or Jupiter all of the 3 binos shows some chromatic aberration. Overall the Pentax is a winner. The moon image has better contrast and I can see Jupiter's 4 moons. However, the Ciwa is not far behind. The moon image is also very clear, and I can see 3 Jupiter moons. The Zykkor one is also not bad on the moon. But there is not much suprise for the Jupiter. I can only see 2 Jupiter moons. Moreover, when I looked at other stars, the Pentax and Ciwa shows dark background while the Zykkor one somehow is not that dark therefore the overall feeling is not as good as the other two.In daylight ground view. I was a little surprised that the center view of Ciwa has similar clarity and contrast as the Pentax. Quite nice views. The outer edge view field becomes a little dark and soft, which is not as good as Pentax. The Zykkor one's view is similar to Ciwa one for both inner and outer field of view with slightly worse contrast. In summary for $80 this is a very nice roof prism bino for its optical quality and compact size and light weight. Ideal for outside activities.PS: The camera mount is another plus which is quite easy to use with a cellphone.

This is my first pair. I had originally ordered 10x25 another company and sent them back. I could not see clearly 40 ft away. These are much better, clear, easy to adjust and lightweight enough my arm or hands do not feel any strain.Came with case and cloth. When you place flaps on top they do not fall down easily. I use them watching birds, nesting and bunnies in my yard1/2 acre property. Spotted a large turtle too. Furthest point I've used them so far is 60 ft and they are good. I do not wear glasses for distanceI do wear reading glasses of 2.75. I'm using these binoculars without any glasses.

Great portability. Nice goodies. Great value for the price. Great hiking bino.
The bino is very light weight as expected and comes with a lanyard, which helps for carrying while hiking. The optics looks clean and well coated. The focus adjustment is smooth and easy. Right eye can be separately adjusted in case one has slight different vision between two eyes. The eyecup is a bit different from the more widely seen ones. It rotates in and out, which offers more adjustment than the typical rubber ones that is either there or rolled back. The front lens cap is hooked there and can be removed, which makes it easy to cover the lens without having to worry about storing the cap.The view through it is vivid and bright. I could see insects flying around tree tops over a couple of hundreds feet away. It is light enough to handhold without too much fatigue (fatigue comes more from the weight of one's hands and arms than the weight of the scope)The interpupillary distance of this binocular has a very generous range, which allows most people to be able to merge images from both eyes.Goodies. The bino comes with a cell phone holder, which you can use to take cell phone pictures through the scope.Overall, Good portability. Goodies. Great value for the price. Great hiking bino.Enjoy!

You got more than what you paid for
Simply put, if you're looking for the best birding binoculars in the sub $100 category, look no further and just get a pair of these binoculars. For those who doesn't wanna read many paragraphs I'm outlining all the Pros and Cons for an easy reference.Pros:Price, hard to beat;Overall build quality. The coatings on the objective lenses and the eye lenses are dark, and the focuser is smooth and accurate. Fit and finish can indeed match those that cost twice more.Optical quality, decent overall, in particular, the center clarity and the LACK of color aberration,Light weight but solid feel;Long but not excessive eye relief, combined with the twist-up eye cups adds more comfort to the viewing experienceCons:The edge correction of the FOV is no where near the best of the class as expected, in particular the last 20%. But they don't cost as much as 20 times more either, therefore I'm actually surprised at what the binoculars can deliver, as I'd expected much worse. For any non-point source, this issue becomes less of a concern certainly, so for hunting or birding while one focuses on the center of the FOV, it indeed exceeds what the sale price would suggest.Final verdict, the best buck one can buy at this price point.

Wasted my money
Everything is blurred

Good Optics, Form Factor
But I returned them as the promised iPhone integration was just a flimsy plastic stand to hold the iPhone lens against the binocular viewer. Cheesy. If I were simply expecting a nice pair of binoculars, however, I would have been more than satisfied.

Great Binoculars,,,,
For the money I was quite pleased with imaging on these. I have a pair of Nikon Marine 10 x50, and I have to say these little 10x42 are better.
