Eonon 7'' Double Din Car Stereo Wireless CarPlay & Wireless Android Auto Car Audio Receivers with AHD Backup Camera, Built in DSP, Bluetooth, MirrorLink, SWC, FM/AM, Fast Charge - X3

Far surpassed my expectations for the price. For starters, the interface is fairly easy to navigate and full of features, but the head unit boots up fairly quickly (5-7 seconds after the ignition is switched on). I installed the included rear-view camera, and the sharpness and quality is also excellent for the price. FM/AM reception is good, phone connectivity is stable, and wireless Carplay works wonderfully without much lag. The amplifier gets plenty loud and will overpower my factory car speakers if I set the volume above halfway, but there is plenty of granularity in how much you can adjust the volume. Overall, I was very impressed with this head unit, it was relatively easy for me to install, but I have a background in electronics. It took me about 3 hours all in. Make sure to get the required audio wiring harness and dash kit for your vehicle. Some cars will be able to accept this with no modification (I think some GM vehicles work with the included harness). I had to purchase an additional harness for my Honda and bridge the connections to the harness included with the radio using a soldering iron. The only gripe I have is the fitment between the volume knob and my frame for the dash kit. The knob is small and scrubs against the frame, which made it difficult to adjust the volume at first. It seems to have work in / I got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore.

Been using this product for 6 months, completely love it! The rear camera is very clear and nice quality, Apple Car Play works good. Only thing i don't like too much is when you disconnect your phone, need to turn off the car and on again to connect it. After that, everything is very good.OS is fast, 10 seconds after startup and you've got it working.

UPDATE:Google maps flips out and automatically try to navigate and screen will continuously beep as if you are tapping the screen. Eonon customer service determined its faulty but prefer if I purchase a new one for 75% off. I refused as the stereo is under warranty.This is our second unit, the first one died on us after warranty and they offered a discount on the second one. They will continuously try to get you to purchase a new one to boost sales.Stay away from this radio and company as their customer service isn't very good.Original:Linux system works well and really good price for what you get. Connectivity is good with Android Auto. My biggest gripe is the stereo didn't fit the Metra double din kit (95-8907HG) quite right which wouldn't be a big deal except it makes it hard to turn the volume knob. I may 3D print a new knob :)

It boots up slow, takes a solid 30-40 seconds probably when I start my car. I haven’t hooked up the back up camera, got lazy and didn’t want to route wiring. It connects flawlessly with my phone, the quality of phone calls has been very good, and Ive enjoyed listening to podcasts on my commute. Overall good value for the price, for 2-4x the money you can do better.

Therefore no wiring diagram except for the extra accessory wires that are not hooked upMake sure to use solder seal connectors or solder with shrink wrap to get a good firm connection OR you may experience the stereo constantly restarting as I did when I did not use solder seal connectors at firstScreen mirroring works some of the time but sometimes freezes, but I’m assuming this is due to me having an iPhone and I’ve never had very good screen mirroring experiences with anything using my iPhone. Androids will probably work better with screen mirroring on those stereo considering Android is based off Linux, unlike apple IOS

Not specific to this product, but Mazda 3 2009-2013 requires a 2din kit to fit (plastic harness + either a cable or manual wiring).Positives: Wireless CarPlay, DSP, quick to boot, volume knob, USB ports.Negatives: I suspect this might be a generic headunit with an inflated price tag due to the Eonon name (check other listings). About the unit itself, it can be clunky if you don't have SWC, since unlike some other headunits, there's no track switch knob, so you're forced to touch the screen. Something I was disappointed to discover is that the screen is dim, very difficult to see under sunlight (even indirect).To Eonon: it would be a massive boost in usability if you could update the firmware to add a track skip/rewind option via double/triple click on the volume knob.
