I’ve been using the Shark NeverChange5 for a few months now and I’m really impressed. Setup was simple straight out of the box, and it looks sleek enough to sit in the corner of a bedroom or living room without standing out too much. The Clean Sense IQ works brilliantly – the fan automatically adjusts when it detects changes in air quality, and you can see it on the clear LED display. It’s reassuring to know it’s actively monitoring the air rather than just running at one speed. The filter system is what sold me. The HEPA filter is designed to last up to five years, which means far less hassle (and cost) compared to other brands that need new filters every few months. Since using it, I’ve noticed less dust build-up and my hay fever symptoms are definitely lighter, especially in the mornings. Noise levels are good – on the lower settings it’s almost silent, and even on higher speeds it’s not too distracting. Perfect for keeping on in the bedroom overnight. The unit also covers the room size it promises without issue. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that it doesn’t have app control like some purifiers, so everything is done on the unit itself. But honestly, with the automatic mode doing most of the work, I don’t really miss it. Overall: A great purifier that feels solid, efficient, and cost-effective long-term thanks to the filter. Would definitely recommend to anyone with allergies, pets, or just wanting cleaner indoor air.

A really substantial and effective air filter and purifier. Like all Shark/Ninja products, this unit looks and feels solid and well-manufactured. Quick to unpack and setup. I could have done with a more substantial operating guide and instructions. Unexpectedly, the controllable ‘odour control’ cartridge offers a very pleasing, subtle fragrance to the filtered atmosphere. Unfortunately, there’s no information about how often this might need replacing. On its lowest fan setting, the filter is quiet enough to operate right next to a light-sleeper. The unit has an auto setting, varying according to ambient dust and particulate levels and seems to quickly reach reassuringly ‘100%’ healthy levels. The illuminated feedback panel can be dimmed or completely switched off to suit a bedroom and sleeping environment. Although quite pleasing to look at, the unit is bigger and bulkier than I anticipated. Slightly disappointed there is no run-timer function and the unit definitely lacks a remote control. The controls are a touch-sensitive, illuminated panel on the top surface, so it’s essential to have line-of-sight to the controls to make adjustments. This is not ideal. I’d have preferred a more ‘intuitive’ smarter set of controls. A remote or an associated app would be the finishing touch of perfection to a very promising addition to the Shark Clean lineup!

Very impressed with air monitoring detection & purifying capability. With 2 log burners in 2 rooms plus mild allergy to dusts, pollen & pets Ive found this type & quality of purifying unit to make a significant difference. Prev purchased a Blueair unit from Argos which was good but this is way better imo with the auto air monitoring function. (Blueair is either on or off) Made a big difference in lounge immediately, kicks in when candles are lit too, after vacuuming and of course deals with dog allergens brilliantly ( main reason for purchase). Lounge air is noticeably more comfortable which is frankly amazing. Operating in a reasonably small room, 5x4 metre lounge, its a fairly small & discreet addition to various room paraphernalia and reasonably quiet when running, its quick to clear air to a good quality. About 30 mins after emptying log burner ashtray & vacuuming air count dropped to 50% - 30 mins later up to 90% Ordered a 2nd for the kitchen/diner … thats where the dog hangs out most. So pretty confident rooms are cleaner (candle carbon, log burner ash) healthier (dust, pollen, allergens, log burner emmisions) and smell fresher too! Will be interesting to see if log burner ash / dust is affected so will monitor and feedback across winter. Definitely recommended.

Brilliant air purifier, easy to set up & work. Fits well in a corner or centre of table/cabinet. Really quiet on lowest settings, the auto feature is great - goes into eco mode at 100%. Makes air smell fresh an clean. Have noticed my allergy symptoms since using this have eased considerably, would recommend & will be buying one for every room eventually

Set up is real easy. On Auto Mode it evaluates air quality & responds accordingly. Only took 10 minutes to purify air to 100% quality. To the gentleman who complained about Anti-Odour Capsule; TAKE IT OUT! Purifiers works exactly the same with or without it. My only negative would be not having an Instruction Manual to show what the 'symbols' on the Pollutant Level Settings mean. [Scratch that. They're on front of Unit] Doesn't need a remote because in Auto Mode the Purifier will change automatically, depending on air quality. So far very happy. Especially knowing I will not have to replace Filter every 6 or so months, thus saving £100s. NB: According to Rufus you can order a Remote separately. Not sure whether this applies to all three sizes or not. So ring Shark & find out, if you feel you need one.
