Chelsea FC: The Official Biography

My brother loves this team. He’s not a big reader, but he loves to stay educated on teams/sports he loves. Great gift!

I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a HUGE Chelsea football fan. He was happy with the book, but has been jokingly asking me to read to him as the print is very small and his eyes are 59 years old.

Make no mistake, this is a biased author. However, there is not a better book out there in terms of the full history of CFC. Seems a bit fond of Bates. I wish there was a bit more organization, especially in terms of chronology. I find myself marking off sections as 60s or 30s, or as relating to managers, players, admins. It's all a bit jumbled up.

A good book that my kids enjoyed about their favorite club. The only issue for younger readers is that by its nature, it stops before anyone they are familiar with, i.e. the current players

A great synopsis of the first 100 years of Chelsea FC and a wonderful price and fast service from the English bookstore getting it to me so quickly all the way in San Diego, California.

GREAT HISTORY OF THE LIFE OF CHELSEA FOOTBALL. NEED AN ADDITION TO COVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. GO BIG BLUE

A horrible cover sleeve design, written by a pompous "smart-ass" author. As the definitive "Official" history document of the club it should have been presented more tastefully and lavishly. At some point this will be a gift purchased for all lifelong fans of the club and there is a responsibility to deliver something well written and tasteful. This would apply to any major football club, instead we have a book that looks like it belongs in WH Smith racked alongside the latest slew of celebrity blogs with a 50% discount if you buy 2 books !
