Karcher 25UF Pressure Washer Capacitor

Bought it to replace a blown motor capacitor on my 8-year old Karcher 4.99. Genuine part, same spec, same connection plates and same geometrical dimensions, so fits snugly into existing slot and connects to existing wires. Once fitted - the unit started immediately.For people complaining about quality - motor starter capacitors are a known weak point in any conventional (not brushless) motor - they are almost considered consumables. They also operate as fuses - in case of overload, they take the brunt and are designed to fail safe to protect the much more expensive main motor assembly. So occasionally they need to be replaced - not a big deal. Considering that this is the only part which actually failed on the unit in 8 years of heavy use - this is remarkably good.

Worked great in getting my K6.85 up and running again, but item was not as image shown and literature on the capacitor is not as original capacitor removed from Karcher. I have doubts about it being a genuine Karcher replacement, price is half of karcher branded ones.

Given 3 stars as it is identical to the one that I removed. In this day and age there is no need to fit a components that is predictably unreliable and it's failure causes many otherwise good pressure washers to be thrown in the trash. You would think that they would provide a better higher reliability capacitor.

Direct replacement no problems.

Purchased as a spare . I have tested it prior to storage. It worked perfect and is very simple to fit . Takes longer to take apart the casing !

My 10 year old K6.80 pressure washer is now back in action !When switching on the machine it just hummed for a few seconds, then blew the 13amp fuse in the plug. I checked the usual, blockages, damage to cable etc but all was good. Tried a few more new 13 amp fuses, but the end result was always the same.Stripped cover off machine and could see that the motor wasn't seized as i could turn the cooling fan by hand. A bit of on line investigation led me to the capacitor.This was easily accessible and for the price of a new capacitor, was worth a gamble.Arrived quickly and 10 minutes after delivery, it was fitted and the machine was back in action - fantastic as I don't need a new machine and it's not going to landfill.Well pleased.
