Very nice taste, tested with 60-min HIIT workouts
Bought these for a couple of reasons:- 1. ‘just in case’ (car, home, purse, work, emergency) 2. For taking on long hikes with our dogs - these are super small & light, meaning more room for food & water for our dogs & emergency first aid etc. (=longer hikes) Flavour: I chose original. The flavour is very inoffensive, slightly sweet, and if you’re a Brit, think ‘digestive biscuits’ Texture: it’s initially quite hard as you bite into it but the texture then immediately changes and hydrates in the mouth very well. It’s a little bit like shortbread when chewing it, so yes you’ll want something to wash it down but actually you technically don’t ‘need’ to drink anything with it Energy: I’ve only eaten one bar to taste it and test energy efficiency, an hour before I did a 60-min HIIT workout. Incredibly, this gave me more energy than my pre-workout drink. Digestion: I had expected something like this to give me a horrible stomach upset as the stupidest thing sets me off, but amazingly I had absolutely no problems - no bloating, no stomach ache, nothing. Packaging: there are 4 bars inside each vacuum foil pack that are then individually wrapped too. Each portion (2 bars) is 230 Cal so you know exactly the calories you’re consuming. Whatever you’re considering these for, they do the job for hunger, energy, flavour and storage (car, purse, etc.) as they’re compact and light

Long-Lasting Emergency Rations Without Soy
The main selling point for me with these emergency food rations is that they contain no soy, which is essential as I am intolerant. They also come in sturdy boxes that stack neatly, making them easy to store. I have not tried the taste yet, as they are intended for situations where access to food is very limited, but they offer a valuable and compact source of calories. I do not keep a huge stockpile of emergency supplies, but these are a sensible addition given their long shelf life. Another big plus is that they are manufactured close to the dispatch date, so you get maximum usable time before expiry. The packs I received were all two to three months from the date of manufacture, which is perfectly fine for my needs.

Very useful product and surprisingly palatable
In comparison to other rations these are a much more pleasant to eat option than the traditional lifeboat rations , they carry the convenience of being individually packaged I've tried coffee and chocolate both very pleasant would consider them regular outdoor food rather than an emergency ration.

Almost no taste/flavour of coffee
Shelf life probably greater than mine & bought coffee flavour as I like coffee Only issue is flavour virtually non existent didn't expect full blown expresso but a fair hint of coffee would have been nice Useful maybe on short hikes but wouldn't want to take many on a trail as weight is a factor

Waiting for Zombie Apocalypse
I’m waiting for the Zombie Apocalypse to try these but they are a smallish box and appear well wrapped and easy to carry for emergencies.

Great energy bars. Sweet mild taste that packs a nutritional punch when you are busy. I’m an R.N. at a very busy medical campus. And these really help out as meal replacements, on hectic days. The taste is a nice change from the standard protein bars.

all things considered these are actually quite tasty. I got one of the peanut ones just to try flavour wise, cause if they tasted bad and I had nothing else to eat at the end of the world I wouldn't eat them. obviously very dry but that's good as no moisture means no mold. they come in a silver vacuum sealed bag with 4 smaller individual bars seperatly wrapped inside. nice and tasty, but crumbly but you'll definitely survive.

You're reading the five star and one star reviews and wondering whom to believe. OK, believe the five star reviews. The low-star objections are not fair (unless they describe a bad batch). Some of them sound like the reviewer expected a hot tasty burrito and was disappointed to bite into a dry cake. Not fair: these are exactly what they are designed to be. So what to expect. These bars, like genuine hardtack, are very dry, and well sealed in vacuum, supporting the shelf life claims. The shelf life was important to me. I sampled one without any water and had no problem chewing and swallowing. Water or fluids at the meal would help though. The texture was like a hard cookie, like vanilla wafers only thicker. So not at all difficult to break off or chew. The flavor (describing here the coffee flavor) was very good, and the coffee one includes coffee powder in the ingredients, so while caffeine is not measured on the product label, expect a bit of a lift. Also as many other reviewers describe, the flavor is not overly sweet. There's 20g of sugar in the bar, and I'd prefer less myself. But as far as the flavor goes it's the right amount of sweetness, and if you really are in an emergency, admittedly the sugar can be beneficial. I have no criticisms at all really. I'd prefer the product be made in the USA, not China, but I have to admit that these are well designed, good tasting (no chemical taste or aftertaste at all), and very well and consistently made. Overall these are really excellent, and will last a long time on the shelf (or in the bug out box). Do not hesitate to try them.

The Emergency Food Ration Bars (1 Pack) are a reliable option for survival situations or emergency preparedness. They are compact, lightweight, and easy to store, making them ideal for keeping in emergency kits, cars, or backpacks. The bars have a decent taste, slightly sweet and not overly dry, which makes them more palatable compared to other survival rations. Each pack provides enough calories to sustain energy levels during emergencies. They also have a long shelf life, giving peace of mind for long-term storage. Overall, a solid choice for anyone preparing for unexpected situations.
