The surface does provide good grip for my hands. My wrists and hands and shoulders are more relaxed and are not sore or uncomfortable after practice. I will keep it.

The texture improves grip, I love it!

I'm a 6 foot guy who wanted a little more real estate in a yoga mat. This works great! The new "smell" went away after a week or so. (I rinsed it off in the shower a couple of times and that really helped.) I keep it rolled up with a carry strap and it rolls up pretty tight but not too tight to impart a curl. It lays flat when I go to class so I really appreciate that. (I see lots of folks struggle with their mats curling up and I like that I don't have to mess with this.) It is light and the strap keeps it handy. The mat has a top and bottom which grip really solid to both the floor and to your feet/hands. Time will tell on durability as I've had this for only 3 weeks now but it feels like really good quality so I'm very happy with the purchase.

I like the feel of this mat, and the color is wonderful! My sweaty hands do slip (slowly) - but I don’t blame the mat for that lol. It comes with straps for transport. It seems durable enough for me (no pets or children). I recommend!

Loved this mat but then I left it in my car one summer day and it completely warped :/ no idea how to get it back to normal. Disappointed for what the price is. It was good until it warped!
