Would buy again
Well made, highly quality, feels like it will last and is easy to use. Not overly priced in my opinion and small so easy to store away when not in use. I've used it for phones and to fix a tablet screen so far.

Does the job
It is the strongest anti-clamp I can find for fixing phones and it does not disappoint. I tried a few smaller opening tool, none of them worked as nowadays the iphones have strong adhesives along the edges, making it difficult for us to open. This opening tool managed to open a little gap for me to insert a tool to get the phone open. It is pricey but it works.

Wish I got one sooner!
I needed to replace a battery on an iPhone SE 2020 and enjoy doing these types of tasks myself (not only to save money, but to feel good about how I've fixed something myself!). I remember doing a similar task on an older iPhone a long time ago and having a nightmare just trying to remove the screen. With this, after about 1 minute of using a hair dryer around the bottom of the phone to melt the adhesive, the whole process of removing the screen probably took about 2 or 3 minutes with not a lot of effort at all. What a brilliant tool. Very easy to use as well! First time using IFIXIT tools and very impressed. Highly recommended.

Looks good quality - but Amazon sending paper bags to save money so it got squashed
Product itself is good quality - However Amazon now sending paper bags supposedly for the environment - how convenient! - but more likely to save a few pennies - Also they are sending by Evri now which is less reliable (arrived a day late) - will reconsider Amazon in the future - I recommend others do too

Suction cups could be better, needs a more stable base and a method to prevent the phone turning
I've opened several phones with this device and it's certainly superior to the alternative approach. Adjustment is easily controlled with the large handle, and generally it works well. I would have some suggestions for a future version of this device. 1. The suction cups are not the best in the business. Unless the phone is spotlessly clean and degreased, they will pop off before enough traction is obtained to open the phone. 2. With the phone in the jaws of the device, the whole construction is off-balance and will need to be propped to prevent it falling over. A larger base would rectify this. 3. When traction is applied, the phone wants to turn on its edge, which allows the cups to slide along the surface. I'd like to see some sort of notch within the jaws to allow the edge of the phone to be supported and thereby prevent it turning, which would hugely improve the efficacy of the opening action. as would a method to prevent the phone slipping

better than expected
better than expected but then its from ifixit so shouldn't have doubted it. tried smaller suckers with like the keyring thing but this is much better thought I would try it on my Samsung s9Γ· just want to see the strength of the suckers only turned it one and a half turns and it cracked the back glass I didn't heat it never thought it would be that quick but I'm changing the battery in it so will get a new back glass highly recommend it ππππππ
