I loved this novel. The characters are inspiring. The story is well write and I found I have a hard time to stop reading. Thank you for this book Mrs Winterholer.

I had an opportunity to read an early, pre-publication version and absolutely loved it. Billie has now filled out the story in meaningful ways to create a hard hitting final product. Whether you are transgender, know someone who is, or simply want to get a sense of what many transgender people have to face before and during their transition, this is an excellent story. While to know one transgender person is to know one transgender person, there are many common experiences woven into this story. Ansely's emotions, challenges and her reactions to them, as well as Kevin's as her boy friend, are handled in a very realistic and sensitive manner. In many senses the story is a romantic fairy-tale, yet shows many typical reactions to transgender individuals as well as the process cis-gender (not transgender) people coming in contact with transgender people go through, to eventually accept... or reject a transgender person.In probably my third reading of this book, I still have to stop often to wipe away the tears that flow in the happiness I feel in her successes, the sadness in the difficulties she faces and in the ultimate victory of love over misunderstanding, ignorance and even intentional hatred. If you've ever been in love or would like to be, this is an excellent choice.

Transition is a very well-written and involving love story. The main characters are three-dimensional and very likeable. Andrew is in a rut about fully transitioning until Kevin, who is undergoing a breakup with his wife gradually moves Andrew into Ansely, giving her the incentive to be herself, while their developing love brings him into a new outlook on life. What originally begins as Kevin befriending her and protecting her from workplace bigotry and bullying, develops into love and new family relationships. When this book was finished, I felt as if I was saying good bye to friends. Will definitely reread it.

Too long..problems solved to easy.Good character development however loved the couple. I would liked more intimate love scenes. The side characters were great. It was just to long and very relaxing but I'm use to horror novels..what do I'm ik..its a good relaxing read.

I was a bit hesitant on the length of the book when purchasing. But it was an easy, developing and realistic story that relates almost every challenge faced by TG woman. Yet with perseverance, self respect, and honesty to be true to herself and with others, Ansely overcame all the obstacles that came her way, but not without enduring the insults and injuries in the journey to fulfillment. I would have added a couple of more chapters at the end, but not knowing if the author is planning a sequel, I understand the ending works either way. Got emotional in parts, so the author told a wonderful story full of ups and downs.
