One of the best oils on the market!
The Valvoline Restore & Protect speaks for itself. The quality is top of the line and pricing is right on par with the rest of the product line and competitors. It absolutely cleans carbon and sludge out of engine. A VOA showed a fantastic additive and wear package. Fuel efficiency is about the same but this oil is a cleaning oil and requires 4-6 changes to be full effective, but you can use it permanently, if you so choose. I change in 5000 mile oil changes and it does a great job and has been tested on numerous vehicles. I recommend this to anyone especially GDI engines or turbocharged.

One of the best oils for the price and quality!!
This newer Valvoline Restore & Protect is an awesome Full synthetic oil that cleans out sludge, carbon and the oil passages. The value is great for many vehicles that have not been taken well care of. The price is right on par with other Valvoline products and its lower quality competitors. I use this in a half dozen vehicles, even though they have been taken great care of. You can use it constantly going forward or 4-6 oil changes to clean up an engine. The VOA's show great additive and wear packages. It is API SP certified, but I believe SN Plus previously is a better API rating. Functionally, I can guarantee it works because I cut open my oil filters and have found carbon in the pleats. I will continue adding friends and families' vehicles into this product line.

Serious cleaning power! Even cleaned the burnt oil off the dipstick
I mixed this with mobil 1 synthetic high mileage, 1 quart of this stuff and 5 quarts of mobil in the ole chevy ls 5.3L. (tahoe 2005 lt)Noticed the next couple of days while checking the oil that the burnt oil on the dipstick has been cleaned off. That's how good this stuff is. I had even engine flushed with liquimoly earlier this year- so this is actually getting stuff out that even the flush additive missed. Also, looks like just 1 quart is cleaning like that. Imagine if I did 6 full quarts of this. That's probably what I'll try next time.My LS has 378,000 miles and I change the oil religiously with a purolator boss filter every 3000 miles. It still purrs like a kitten and runs like new. No ticks or anything else. I know, amazing right? Knock on wood.I hope you can have a similar experience. Finally, the price is on point. Recommended.

Oil consumption disappeared using this. I'm impressed.
On my 2nd run. I did 5k miles on first run and am 4K miles into the 2nd interval. I've been losing a quart every 4K miles on my 2018 Ram pickup with the 3.6vvt. It has 168,000 miles on odometer. This second interval 4K miles in and zero consumption. Will keep running it. Strange pricing though. If you order a 3pak it's almost 13 bucks more per jug than if you order a single jug. So I order single jugs.

Good Stuff
Poured this in my 25 year old Tundra with 220,000 miles, engine has never run better and very quiet. Will continue to use...

Gentle cleaning over time. Great motor oil.
Amazing. I had used BG EPR (which is excellent for cleaning engines) and lots of dirty stuff came out of the engine. Using this ONCE, the oil mid way through the 3K interval is very dark on the dipstick meaning it is doing its job. I change oil every 3k since the car has 160K miles on it with a turbo. Originally it was a 5K interval. It has not stopped my car from burning oil but hopefully over time as the piston rings get cleaned, it will slow that a bit.Happy with the results.

The marketing is real
I have a very old Honda, it is almost 270k. It runs well overall, gets me around with a few quirks… one of the more troubling quirks being a leaky piston ring that causes compression & oil burning issues. I have not considered pulling the engine to replace it, due to the age of the car it just isn’t worth the cost. For about 3 years I’ve just been letting it do its thing, driving gently and keeping my oil topped has kept it pretty steady. The marketing on this oil intrigued me, especially coming from Valvoline. The claims are lofty, which can be a red flag from some companies… however I have used many of Valvoline’s products with great results, so I definitely trust the brand overall.Nonetheless I did some deep research on this product, and found that most people were having noticeable results, and more importantly no one reported any negative side effects. I also learned that Valvoline is one of the ONLY lube/ vehicle fluid brands that has an R&D lab for their products, which is really cool. So they perform a lot of experiments to create new products like this. After about 2,000 miles now I can say I am a believer. My low compression issue is virtually gone. I am burning oil at about 1/2 the rate as it was before, so that is quickly improving as well. I also noticed the oil is still almost clear at 2k, which is unusual (usually it is starting to get darker at this point). I thought it would be even darker, just due to the deposits being cleared, but I guess my new oil filter is putting in work. I did top off with about 1/2 quart when I checked ( usually I have already downed a quart by now and ready for the next one). One thing to realize is you will probably have a lotttt of smoke coming out the exhaust on occasion while it cleans up. This was happening to me for about the first 500ish miles. It seems to have subsided but just one thing to look out for, and not to be afraid of. That means it’s working.
