***{EDIT/UPDATE}*** So, after a good 6+ months of considerably increased dry, flaky, crusty, peeling skin + rashes - ridiculously much more severe & consistent than usual and with no clear, or obvious cause for this to be a reoccurring problem... I had finally come to the stark realisation that my unmanageable symptoms were in-fact, ONLY, getting worse & out of control, because of the absolutely disgraceful, cloudy, stinky & vile water that comes out of the taps in this particular, run-down, old, temporary accommodation, that I have the displeasure of having to reside in for the time being/foreseeable future... It became more of a concern when I started realising that the large amounts of water that I had been drinking on a daily-basis, had been making me feel very 'odd' - always fatigued, kept giving me throat, stomach & other issues, whilst always making me feel ill... It really stinks when you turn on any of the taps, hot + cold, it smells awful & 'funny' + it literally 'hits' you in the face when close and can be smelt from the next room/s!!! I quickly purchased some water jug filters, to drink only clean, filtered water (from the kitchen) and it made such a remarkable improvement, that significantly changed the whole dynamic!.. So also, I purchased & installed a 36-layer, large shower filter, which works just as perfectly at properly filtering-out all the sediment + nasty, unwanted substances that taint/contaminate the water... This had also significantly improved the water quality & cleanliness and I immediately noticed a massive difference in my skin-health, after the 1st + 2nd shower (especially with the Head & Shoulders!) - it resulted in a MAJOR reduction in crusty, flaky & sore, rash-laden skin! So I take back a lot of the negative feedback from which I had reported in my original review (see below) - I am so glad that I installed this shower filter (only around £20—£30 on Amazon!), it really shocked me how much damage the unfiltered water was doing to my skin, even to the point that medical-grade skincare products were completely useless! Now I can reset-assured, knowing that my skin is finally returning to it's natural radiance and healthy appearance; I thought that I might share my experience, in the hopes that, maybe, I could potentially help at least 1 person whom may have a similar experience with their skin, which, because of the water, their skincare & haircare products are not working as well as they should... but just don't know it yet... ***(Original Review)*** I should probably begin by saying that I use the 'normal' Head & Shoulders as often as I can, because of my 'mixed heritage' which leaves me with a persistent 'dry skin' complaint that I have to regularly address via creams, oils, lotions, butters, ointments, etc... each and every day to keep my skin from drying & peeling over time. Plus also, my scalp tends to get 'flaky' & 'crusty' in small regions, regardless of how many skincare products I try, as after so long, my skin gets 'used' to whichever product works for a short period before I move on to the next one (repeating cycle); so it usually goes: - 2+ weeks: no issues, no dry or flaky skin. - Products gradually start to lose their effects, skin starts to 'crust' in small, scattered places; begins to 'dry-up'. - 1-week: flaking + crusting (until the next product starts to work); in tiny scatterings on little sections of scalp. - All symptoms start to clear-up; next cycled product begins to work effectively again. - [Repeat cycle]. I can only use Head & Shoulders for approximately 3-8 weeks at a time, otherwise it loses it's effects completely and the ONLY way for me to get it to work again is to shave my hair off, down to a Grade-1... I have tried for years to get it to work for all of the time, but eventually had to keep shaving off my afros because as I got older, the problem became much worse/unmanageable - now, recently, I can not let my hair grow past a Grade-2 length or it will begin to cause my scalp to crust-up, regardless of the amount of hair + skin treatment + H&S I use, it just does not work anymore! So, because I have to use it in phases, I decided to try another variant of H&S in the hopes of more consistent results, which is this "Pro-Expert 7" version; I was completely taken 'off-guard' when dispensing the first actuation from the pump... it is NOT the traditional/classic 'Creamy-White' texture or colour, it is a BLUE, slightly opaque, 'GEL'... although it does lather-up a bit more generously than the original (which lathers extraordinarily well), it certainly 'feels' different in too many intangible ways. I have not really seen any note-worthy results as of yet - the original, so far, is more superior because, by now, I would've reduced the flaking by 80%... Maybe this one takes A LOT longer to start working - I will have to see; hopefully in another week or two I can provide a promising update if this finally begins to work... I have to shave my hair every 3-weeks because it grows insanely FAST; I also get a few badly-damaged hair follicles that sometimes, occasionally leads to permanently-damaged follicles (hair loss - rarely) due to the constant irritation during the 1-week of pure itchy, impulsively-led scratching that I keep to a bare minimum but it can be too distracting to ignore! I have not experienced that welcome 'relief' I would usually get from using the original H&S - all of these factors that I've mentioned, leads me to believe that this version is way too expensive! And too different from the, usually, predictable brand... I currently have conflicting opinions pertaining to this product. Maybe it will improve - I will keep this review up-to-date with whatever outcome may develop, if any.

I’ve been using head and shoulders products for years. It’s my go to when I have dry, itchy and flaky scalp. It reduces symptoms almost immediately with first wash. It’s very refreshing, rich, thick and creamy texture. Smells sweet, fruity and not too chemically. My hair also retains the smell even without conditioner and drying which is nice. As soon as the itching comes back I wash my hair and I find it takes longer for the itching to come back each time. It’s a very large dispenser and it can be refilled which is great. Always loved the smell of their products too. My hair feels soft and not too dry. As for the hair retention claim I’ll have to update on that as I don’t know yet. Just based on the other factors it’s still a great product.

This is a nice shampoo that leaves hair really clean. I’ve been using it for 2-3 months now to help prevent postpartum hairloss and the truth is that so far I haven’t lost a lot of hair compared to my first pregnancy (it could be a coincidence, hard to tell). The scent is WAY too strong though, hence 4 stars and not 5.

Je fais du psoriasis et j'ai énorme de pellicules. Mon crâne chevelu est également gras très rapidement et mes cheveux sont très denses. J'ai essayé beaucoup de shampoing et même chez Head&Shoulders les autres produits n'était pas parfaits. Celui là solutionne tous mes soucis. Il sent bon et vient en bidon de 800Ml ce qui laisse le temps de voir venir. Honnêtement j'ai arrêté d'acheter d'autres shampooings !
