Disappointed with the Translation Quality
Recently purchased the translated version of Ikigai, and while the book’s concept is truly inspiring, the translation quality was not up to the mark. The essence and flow of the original message seem to be lost in several parts, making it difficult to connect with the content. I would recommend going for the English version to experience the real depth and simplicity of the book.

I bought this expecting a proper Malayalam translation, but it reads like someone dumped the English text into a cheap AI translator and hit “submit.” The sentences make no sense, the words are ridiculous, and half the book feels like nonsense. This is an insult to readers and to Malayalam itself. Don’t waste your money — this is pure garbage

This was one of the worst purchase I did . They have not used the proper Malayalam and I understood that they are not the normal Kerala natives . The sentence constructions are very poor. The translation was so bad, whereas now Iam using AI to translate each page to English and reading the book. And I came to know that the pages are repeating the same things over and over again and also doesn’t include the original ikigai translation. The book doesn’t have the translation of the original ikigai book version where it completely ignored the first chapter of original ikigai book. Very disappointing!!

Unfortunately, I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the translation. It appears that the translation was not done by a native Malayalam speaker or someone with a basic understanding of the language. Instead, it seems to have been translated using an automated tool like Google Translate, without any subsequent proofreading or editing. Here are some specific issues I encountered: 1. **Grammatical Errors:** The book contains grammatical mistakes in almost every sentence, which makes it difficult to read and understand. 2. **Incorrect Word Usage:** Many words are used incorrectly, leading to confusion and misinterpretation of the original text. 3. **Poor Sentence Construction:** The sentences are often poorly constructed, further complicating the reading experience. As a native Malayalam speaker, I found the translation to be of an unacceptably low quality. This has significantly impacted my ability to enjoy and comprehend the book.
