For years my dad’s designated seat was a manual recliner chair but as the years go by, he’s grown weaker in the legs and can’t always close the leg rest on his own. This chair was the solution to make his life easier and give him much more comfort. The assembly only took about 20 mins. and directions are easy to follow. The base is heavy and sturdy. My dad is satisfied and loves his new chair!

I'm 82 years old, weigh about 250 pounds and have bad knees. My reclining lounge chair had soft cushioned arms. I found it very difficult to get out of the chair and sometimes had to call for help or struggle for several minutes to accomplish the task. I recalled that my dad had had a lift chair and went shopping for one.This one was reasonably priced, had many desirable features and quick two day delivery. It was easy to set up, is very comfortable, has heat and pleasant massage modes, the brown color is a close match for my existing couch and chair and I can stand up without any problems.I found one discrepancy. The pictures all show a chair with dual left and right positioning switches. My chair only has switches on the right side. This is not a problem for me, but might be a disappointment for a left handed person

In the universe of therapeutic chairs, this is an acceptable low end model if your requirements aren't great. Relatively easy to assemble (make sure the flanges click), its instruction manual is inadequate for operation. I still haven't found the advertised second heat setting. The one heat setting I can find is low and insufficient, compared to typical heating pads. Massage feature is amusing but okay. The USB port works for now. Backward seat adjustments go directly somewhat jerkily to the three positions illustrated, but one can choose from a smooth continuum of positions coming forward from the last. (The remote cord does tend to get tangled in the mechanism.) The appearance is fine and the faux leather is comfortable to the touch; we'll see how it lasts. One is cautioned not to sleep in it! Why? I expect many purchasers, like myself, are looking for a temporary substitute for a bed, in which they are not comfortable due to pain of some sort, such as my strained lumbar. I undauntedly sleep in it, although I use the word "sleep" advisedly. Also, why is one advised not to use an extra electrical heating pad? This is curious because the chair's circuitry shouldn't be sensitive to its presence, especialy if it's adequately insulated.

Recliner outside is soft to the touch and the light brown is lovely. My dad is a thin frame 5’5” and fits perfectly for his size. He likes that his whole foot touches the floor. The vibration of the chair is not faint like his worn out one. It is good and effective. He hasn’t tried the heat yet because it’s summer. Overall it’s a great fit for him and easy to use side buttons so no chance of losing a control unit.

There are a couple of things I don't really care for. I chose the one for 5'1"+ as I am 5'4" but it's still higher than I like. Sitting in it without adjusting it to lean back, my feet don't touch the floor and the sides of the seat don't give a lot of room in that in order to use the arm rests, I have to lean to the side and I can't just put my laptop on my lap as there isn't protection to keep it there. I have to put my feet up and have a corner sitting on the armrest. If I were to lay it all the way back, my body would be above the armrests not giving much protection or a feeling of security. This all comes with the chair being for taller and much thinner people. I will just make do. Just wish I had chosen the next body height down.All that aside, it's a wonderful chair. I love the vibration/massage and heat. It goes all the way from my shoulders to my ankles. It has 2 cup holders that I put my controls in as the 2 side pockets are too far down and the 2 front ones aren't roomy enough. They hold my cell phone really nice. Maybe once the chair is broken in better, the remotes will fit in them. The cup holders is what makes it so I have to lay back to keep my laptop on my lap. It is definitely comfortable, so much so that I have nodded off in it a number of times. I got the non-fabric one, so it is so easy to clean. It's well worth the money!

I ordered this chair to use after surgery. It was easy to put together & I love all the extras. Having a USB port, the lift to stand, & cup holder is amazing for me!

Seller claimed this chair fits people 5'1" to 5'9". I am 5'4", and there is room for 2 sofa pillows behind me when I sit in the chair. That renders the heat and massage functions useless, and leaves my shoulders and head unsupported. It is not comfortable in that position, either. I cannot sit there to read or to use my phone or tablet. It is comfortable for napping in the fully reclined position, but the footrest and the seat become uncomfortable after longer periods of time. The footrest is too short; it doesn't support my feet but stops at the ankle. I also felt that I was sitting ON the chair, not IN it.The chair looks great. The upholstery is nicer than I expected. The lift works quite well. A taller person might find this chair quite satisfactory if they don't mind having dangling feet.Note to the manufacturer: An extended footrest would be a welcome upgrade.

I can't stick with my original 5 star rating. I have reached out to this company over & over again. My remote does not work for the heater/massager. So until they rectify this problem I won't be happy. Please send me a new remote. Mine DOES NOT WORK !!!!
