I purchased this after watching some comparison videos, and this one came out on/near the top. I’m very happy with this reel! It is plastic like all the others, but seems quite well constructed. The hose itself is nice and smooth, no problem with kinking if treated kindly. I’m especially satisfied with the hose nozzle. It has a metal body which should last much longer than the crappy plastic ones you get these days. I was even surprised to find the stream selector has a setting that is something between single jet and the shower. It has more power than the shower, but covers more area than the narrow jet. The reel operation is easy and predictable: just pull out what you need and it locks in place. When done, a short tug initiates retraction. The swivel works as advertised: I store it 90 degrees to the right, pull the hose either at 0 degrees or 90 degrees to the left, so it gets swiveled a lot. The mount is solid and no chance it’ll fail, even with the weight of the hose full of water. Overall, I can highly recommend this. I’m at a point in my life where I’ll gladly pay more for a quality product rather than save a few bucks and have to replace every few years. This reel seems to fit the bill.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My husband researched this product and had to have it. It’s a bit large so make sure wherever you put it you have adequate space. Item is very well made.

I’ve been using this hose reel for the past week to wash cars and water flowers, and it really makes any task involving a hose much easier. The hose pulls out and retracts smoothly, locks in place well, and the built-in cleaner (the “mustache cleaner”) is a great bonus.I’m giving it 4 stars because the installation instructions could be much better. Everything is listed in millimeters, which means you’ll need to convert measurements if you’re drilling into brick or other masonry. It would’ve been helpful to include fractional inch equivalents. I ended up installing it my own way, and I recommend using all five mounting holes for a secure fit.One suggestion: invest in a better sprayer. The one included is cheap and probably won’t survive more than a few drops on hard surfaces like concrete.I spent about two weeks researching hose reels before deciding on this one, and so far I’m happy with the choice. I’ll try to update this review in Fall 2025 to report on long-term durability or if any leaks show up.

Does what it says on the tin. They need to redesign this mount to fit on a 4x4 WITHOUT an add on 2x4. Should be easy. Otherwise... a nice and tidy installation.

You will need a masonry 12mm drill bit and of course a hammer drill to install…I have a ton of masonry drill bits…12mm is not one and do you know how hard it is to find one locally? Impossible ! If I’d had know I would have ordered a different product!I installed it today after receiving the 12mm drill bit…I did like the fact they include the template with tape backing for drilling the holes. I have brick with cinder block behind that at the level I installed. I loved it after I installed it, watered the plants on my deck and flagstone patio.A couple hours later I showed it to my wife and water started dripping out of the hosing onto my patio. Wow, I mean a lot of water…water source was turned off a couple of hours before.I then checked the product site and you are supposed to extend the house the entire length, take off the nosel off the hose and let it drain before letting the hose return to the housing! Every time!!! I used 20 feet of the 105 feet of hose and the mfg says you need to extend the hose 105 feet, every time you use it, remote the nosel, and let it drain before letting the hose return to the housing…are you mucking kidding me? This is BS!Screw this company and their hard to acquire 12mm masonry bit! Returning it tomorrow and figuring out how to fill the holes I’ve drilled into the brick of my home!This product gets my full fledge BS rating!!! Run away from this crap!

set it up and use it almost every day. If you don't have one of these get one will love the way it self retracts still have to use your hand but so much better then the hose reels I have been using forever.

Makes watering around our house and gardens so much easier! No more hose laying in the yard because we’re too lazy to wind up 100 feet when we’ll need to do it again tomorrow! Life saver! The hose is very smooth to pull and the attachments are nice.

Works great. We have it in a small space, and my husband says it was much easier to install than our last one.
