Skar Audio SDR-12 D2 12" 1200 Watt Max Power Dual 2 Ohm Car Subwoofer

Bought 2. Setup in 1Kw 4 ch stereo setup. 2 ch for l&R subs. 2 ch L&R mids highs. For reference music, aka old people moosak. Placed speakers in a dual L&R ported, single passed enclosure. With separate tuned section for mids tweets. The subs ring sweet and mellow on symphonies and bang Space Wizard like a champ. I wanted stereo! love the nice left right hit you get from independent subs! I cant say enough for the Skar value! I know these are value line, not the hiline powerhouse speakers.. But in a ported enclosure. Tuned, crossed and setup. They SHINE! The speakers at 250 watts each are so fricken loud you need earplugs for anymore power. But sound 100% on point NO distortion, butter FAT! Exactly like they should. Yes I can go 500each...why? No one would stay in car with me! They would hit me in anger and leave lolz! Even at half volume i get the are you serious looks . Me- Hey sorry! I may be old, but I too like it loud. He He, think I built it all for you old farts? P.S Observation on humanity! Volume that hurts for one song, a moment later is too low for a favorite song. Derp!

I have this in an infinite baffle setup in my Subaru waggon and it hits SOO LOOOW fq. Best bang for the buck hands down! I can hear and feel 12 hrtz!!!!! Been bumpin it for over 2 years now and its such a WIN. Was gonna upgrade at some point but I don't need to at all. Soooo happy with this sub!!!

This Skar audio SDR 12-in D4 wired in parallel to 2 ohms and is 600W RMS and I'm only pushing 350 watts into it and it is so loud it hurts my ears being right behind the driver's seat in my Silverado. It was decently priced and even better when they go on sale. I used to have the IX 12-in D4 wired to 2 ohms as well and this speaker blows the other one out of the water with its deep lows and impressive loudness. Definitely worth giving it a try for a budget subwoofer it performs phenomenally. I can only imagine after the break in period. Definitely worth picking one up or two for that matter depending on your setup configuration. One is definitely plenty for me where I have it located. It shipped really quickly as well and I got it on time with my free shipping Amazon prime. Just remember to break it in respectfully. Skar audio recommends a minimum 24-hour break in. At half to low volume and at half too low power just to break them in properly. I only drive about an hour a day so it won't take me close to 24 days to break mine in but once they're broken you can crank up the wattage and the volume and they will sound amazing. I know my IX12 sounded amazing and over 2 years later still performs well. I put the IX12 in my wife's Kia forte and she loves it and it thumps really hard. My point being is if they're properly broke in they will last as any speaker should if properly broke in and properly powered with clean power.

This Skar SDR-12 hits hard! The 1200W max power really pumps out deep, clean bass that shakes the whole ride without distortion. Dual 2-ohm voice coils give me flexibility with my amp setup, which is awesome. Build quality feels tough and the design looks sharp in my enclosure. If you want loud, tight bass that doesn’t break the bank, this sub’s a winner. Definitely recommend for anyone serious about sound!

The thickness is fine for me because it’s out in the open but if you plan on putting it under the seat you may run into clearance issues. The overall quality is fantastic, great craftsmanship as well. It has a 2.25” thick magnet that is approximately 3.5” round and I have it hooked to a 1000w mono SSL amp ran with 8ga. leads and 12ga. speaker wire and it hits almost as hard as my 2 12” MTX’s but with much better sound quality. It is in a groundshaker ported box (8” by the way). Definitely a good buy and worth your dollar all the way.

People give skar a bad rap but I LOVE this sud and no im not some skar fan boy i have many other subs but like Kicker, Sundown, Orion, CT sounds, Dayton Audio, and more and i still love this sdr 10. The setup is easy it works VERY well in a well tuned box got down to 28hz at 128.68db( now i have a 3 skar evl 12s.) and one time a friend of mine lent me a bigger amp and i accidentally gave the sdr-10-d2 2100w rms for like 2 minutes of a song with out realizing until, i started smelling the glue, than i saw the meter and shat myself👌🏾. After this i was fine, no coil rub, no cone distortion, no nothing it was just fine.👍 Skar audio, good job with this one!👍 Ended up giving the sub a tuned box i made to a friend he still uses it to this day!

I went from a 12 inch Solo Baric that slammed to 4 of these little 8’s and I am completely blown away!!! The clarity, deepness, etc is unbelievable in a sealed box under my back seat! I am not a paid reviewer, etc. these little subs are just AWESOME 😎

Despite what some people think about skar audio, they are amazing for the price, bump HARD, and have been totally reliable so far. I haven't had any issues with it at all except for it being a little smelly after having it full tilt for a minute (its just because i am severely underpowering it with an 800 watt amp). The sub looks great, and its got some good power to it

Skar audio subwoofer is the best budget subwoofer available in the market. Amazing sound quality. It really heats hard.

Wired up for 8 ohm as a replacement for a 30 year old THX ultra SW-X1 passive subwoofer(120 litre cab) Not quite as smooth on the upper end as the OEM but has great extension and good beefy sound with tons of SPL available running on my Kenwood Basic M2A power amp. (220 RMS both channels driven@8/0.004%,and 526w dynamic power, per channel) Compared A/B with a Soundstage PS12D4 driver from the same price class(and same cabinet/room/amp) it was hands down to the Skar for low end extension. Definitely buying three more for my other cabinets. Both subs ran @80hz LPF.

lo te gl a un cajon entonado a 40hz, es muy limpio y tiene muy buen movimiento, me aguanta muy buena potencia, ya compre dos para otro proyecto aparte, es increible
