Just received this today, and although I didn't really take it out detecting yet, I find the build quality and functionality of it quite good for the price. I put it on my table and introduced CDN coins to it, and it seems to start detecting them at about 3.25 inches from the pointer's tip. I'm sure this will be a good pointer to compliment my new Nokta Triple Score. If any problems arise, I will edit this post, but for now I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend if you want a decent pinpointer without breaking the bank. UPDATE: I finally took the pinpointer out and this is my update. I really think this pinpointer is excellent value for the money. It is very good a pinpointing a target, and responds very well. One thing I noted is that it does get interference from my Triple score if I lay it next to the hole, this is solved by placing the detector a bit further so as not to get interference OR pressing the filter button on the pinpointer, which works but you lose a bit of Dr. Otek's range. Not a big deal. On the down side it is a bit too easy to accidentally press the power button when holding the pinpointer, I think with time I'll adapt to a better way to access it. For those who don't read instruction manuals, know that once you power on the pinpointer, if you fast press the power button twice it shuts off the LED light. I would not have known this had I not read the manual. I still highly recommend this pinpointer, I believe it'll be my pointer for a very long time.
