This is an extraordinary DVD. It appears totally unscripted, consisting largely of adlibbed conversations between the tutor and a woman on a chair who is there to represent the voice of the audience. Given that her state of mind is one of almost total bewilderment this is not terribly helpful! Also much of the time the two of them seem to be involved in pretty inane conversation and it feels a bit like being involved in a voyeuristic conversation between two people in the pub - rather like an episode of Big Brother! The accessibility of this tape is also not helped by the fact that a great many of the exercises are not adequately described and demonstrated far too quickly.Yet for all of that there are actually some good ideas here, with some sound advice about posture, some licks and scale patterns which will push most intermediate players on and will be of value. I can't help feeling that the information could, however, have been presented in half the time and with twice the focus.
