These are pretty good. They are sweet with a hint of spicy, but not at all sour.

This tamarind was absolutely DISGUSTING. The balls were hard and dried out and there was way too much sugar. The tamarind is obviously old and stale, like pods that have been left on the ground for days, instead of fresh from the tree. I tried licking off the sugar to see if I could even taste the tamarind and it tasted rotten.I had to throw the whole thing away so this was a total WASTE of money. The expiry date is 2022, so you think it would be fresh. I've had tamarind from the tree before and this product does not have that 'flesh' that good tamarind does. The date may be current but the actual tamarind is STALE and dried out.Do NOT waste your time with this product as there are better brands out there.

sweet with a tiny slight small spice to it. soft, lots of flavor, lots of sugar. but you cant compare these to philippines sampaloc (tamarind) this bag doesnt come with salt as the philippines does. over all has great taste. price is expensive.

I'm still trying to find a bag of the candies more similar to the one you find at your local Asian grocer... and I can't quite find it on the zon. These are.. I guess you can say.. really tamarind. It's literally the sticky pods around all of the gigantic seeds. Huge seeds. Mostly. Seeds. There isn't even a lot of tamarind around them. They're covered in sugar crystals as well, and not a lot of chili or other flavor to them. They're a little bland. I think my only option now is to try and get out and get to the store.

This arrived on time and good condition. I love tamarind. Ive tried several types from different countries. This product/brand surprisingly very good and simple pure ingredients. It was fresh with a great flavour. Actually it's a perfect balance between the sweet, sour, and spicy. I live within blocks of many of Asian stores.(Chinese,Japanese,Thai,Korean,Vietnamese) Sadly no one carries this brand. Wish it cost a bit less but it hasn't stopped me from reordering.

I think it has way too much sugar which takes away the sourness and makes it more like a sugar candy.Also I felt it was too dry.

This is my favorite candy. I can eat the whole bag in one setting. But they are so expensive it’s a once in a while treat.
