Why why why would someone design an alarm that requires the user to remove the battery cover every time you want to change the alarm time. Utterly useless for my 89 year old father who needs to wake himself for meals in the nursing home.

It is loud. I mean LOUD. And the little button on the back to turn it off is not all that easy to operate when I'm half-asleep. In other words, it's exactly what I need. I suggest you try it out before you actually need to use it -- the first time it woke me up I wasn't prepared for how loud it is, and it scared me half to death.

Cute has metal body and feels like glass face. So far keeps time. Biggest con is alarm setting control on back. The cover for the battery has to be removed to change the alarm!!! Alarm Not as loud as I would like but I am using it with other alarm clocks.

should be listed under loud alarms, I am hard of hearing and this would wake the dead, bought a "loud" one from Amazon, but htis one should come up when searching for loud alarms.

Arms barely glow and cannot see it well in the dark. Arrived with broken face plate. No differentiation between am and pm when setting alarm, so needs to be reset by hand every night. Heavy for its small size. All around poor quality. Dont waste your money!
