Great review and some instruction
These books are great overall. Though they usually include an example of the type of problem the page is reviewing, it is presumed that this is a supplement to your child having learned skills. An example of this is the multiplication table. Relatively early on, there are pages which presume you child has leaned this. If you are willing to do such teaching ahead of time (if your child hasn't done it yet in school), then this workbook, and all the others in the series, are terrific.

A great tool
We live in a small house in a poorer neighborhood. Yes, the big bad economy has affected us, as well. The elementary school is "blah" at best. It is staffed by unimaginative, complacent teachers and students that run the gamut between horrible and clueless. So, to make sure our child's brain doesn't turn to mush, we buy things to supplement her curriculum, as well as go to the library as much as possible. These workbooks are a great tool. I find myself having her work through them and then buying the next grade so she can get/stay ahead. It's a mad world out there and our kids will have to do far more to get far less in the future, so anything that will help is a blessing.I think the books are organized well, though others have complaints. When her school doesn't give her the necessary homework, I can give her this to work on, lesson by lesson.

Right Brain Math
First this company is great to work with. When I recieved my book the mail box door wasn't shut all the way and rain got inside and ruined the book. I called the company and immediately was sent a replacement book with no extra charge. The first book came within one week after ordering it, and the second replacement book showed up 5 days after I had contacted them. My daughter struggles in math and has little interest in it. When I glanced through the book with her, she immediately started asking questions about how the patterns worked, and how the times table worked. She really started showing an interest with it right away. Her Mom and I became interested in the fun math facts in the back of the book. We are excited to test this book out to hopefully help her prepare for the multiplication she is going to need to do in the 3rd grade.

Great Math Curriculum
We have used these books for the past 3 years and the only thing missing was a bit more written instruction for each of the new concepts. I was surprised and dismayed at their use of fractions with absolutely NO instruction. As a homeschooling mom, I believe that fractions are one of THE most difficult concepts to master; and personally, I think 3rd grade is too young an age (on average) for a child to be expected to compare fractions! Other than those sections, the books have been perfect for laying the math foundation my elementary child needed.

Disappointing, was it revised?????
I am so disappointed. I've bought Math Made Easy for years for my kids. I'm not sure if this is a new revision or not. It has a new cover. I don't have the last 2 version of grade 3 that I purchased (and loved) to compare. So did something change, or did I just not notice before. Here are some examples:On page 9 there are 36 random multiplication problems up to 12x12. This is the first time multiplication is in the book. The topic is odd/even numbers. Multiplying 2 odds, makes an odd. Then on page 19, they introduce multiplication. No instructions, just 32 problems with the hardest problem like 41x4.Then on page 21, the new topic of division, with problems like 77 divided by 10. Decimal division is where we are going to start. Then, finally on page 33, they start working on multiplying by 2, followed by 5, followed by 10, etc etc. and now we are cruising.Who organized this book!!! About 1/4th of the first 32 pages are ridiculous. We skipped a few and I will have him come back to them once he finishes the times tables and gets faster at multiplication and division.Very disappointing.

Good for practicing, not for explanation
This is a great book either for practice at a current level or helping your child get ahead. There are many problems to work and they are presented in various formats. However, there isn't much explanation for new concepts, so this is left up to a parent or teacher to explain. This is the 2nd math book of this kind I have purchased, the first was for 2nd grade. My child is in 2nd grade now so I have had him doing a book 1 year ahead of where he is.
