Q: Does the handle have shock protection? Like will my hand hurt from vibration caused by striking metal?

The head is attached to the handle very tightly, there is 0 play there. The handle is made of a dense plastic (yellow) with a grip portion covered with a softer rubber-like plastic (black) which is tightly bonded to the handle. All together, these measures definitely help absorb impacts very well. To a degree, this a personal thing, but for me, I didn't have any issues using it on an anvil shaping hot metal. Regardless of what you do though, I would highly recommend wearing work gloves as well. This helps even more.

Q: Will this work to demo cast iron or steel bath tub?

It will destroy anything short of depleted uranium armor.

Q: What is the hardness of this hammer? I am not trying to dent ny anvil.

You might need to contact Eastwing for specifics on the hardness of this hammer. I have a 50 pound anvil and haven’t put a dent in it with this hammer.
