This is definitely an excellent product. I usually use a cornstarch slurry and this Ultra-tex 8 proves to be a flavorless and superior thickening agent. I've experimented with using it in creating fruit gels and savory sauces.

I have been working to recreate a specific grocery store pie mix that is difficult to obtain inside the US. This was precisely the ingredient that I needed.The recommendations to mix using an immersion blender are not an exaggeration. I was briefly able to use a heavy gauge French whisk but it quickly got too thick go mix easily by hand.I will likely be ordering more!

Doesn’t disperse very well in liquids it cakes up and had to beat with whisk tremendously. Not worth the cost
