Oddly Impressed
It showed up in a box that was fully intact... Which means all of the damage must have happened BEFORE they boxed it and shipped it. This thing was dinged, dented, bent, and scraped. I needed a rack ASAP, so I decided to attempt to work with it. It went together fairly easily despite having to bend things back into place and work without directions. As I was assembling it I wondered if I had purchased a used rack. The only way I know it wasn't was because it hadn't started to rust yet... that took almost a week. All of that being said, once it was assembled, it was pretty sturdy. It fit my car perfectly. It held all of my gear like it was a custom order. The bolts started to rust after less than a week, and not long after that I was finding rusty drip spots on the roof of my brand new overlander. Once my adventure was over, I took the rack off my roof and disassembled it. I scraped the rust off, sanded all the scrapes and rust spots, primed and painted each part individually. I put caulking in/on all of the seams, and replaced the rusty nuts and bolts with stainless steel. I reassembled the rack, and put another coat of matte black Rust-Oleum over the whole thing. If I had done this step at the initial assembly stage, I could have saved myself a lot of time. But, hind sight is 20/20. A few more things that I tweaked were trimming the length of the u-bolts that hold it to the crossbars and adding snug rubber caps to the ends of them so they don't interfere or damage items carried on the rack. Now that I have jury rigged this thing, I am quite happy with it, and even with the extra time and effort, find it to be well worth the investment. Is it a smug sense of satisfaction with the work I've done? Or is it that this is actually a pretty sturdy safari rack? Especially for that price!

Product review
The product arrive on time and functioned as advertised. There was no damage and the paint coating was intact. There were three issues that should be noted. First, the instructions are very minimal and are in Chinese. But the assemble is very basic so that did not matter if you look at the advertisement photos. Second, the basket itself comes in three sections. I have assembled allot of products. As with any product such as this, you definitely need a rubber mallet to assemble the parts. It needs a bit of a tap here and there to fit the parts to fit together and you do not want to use a steel hammer. So for any roof basket you should order or borrow a rubber mallet if you do not have one - they're cheap as save allot of time, effort, and frustration. Also, there are four metal brackets the hold the three basket sections together, each having two screws and nuts. Two of the brackets only had one hole drilled in them not the required two. I have a small shop with the necessary drill and vise so this was not a problem for me. If you do not have the required tools and are not handy with this type of work, you would have been total P.O.'d and shipped it back. Third, when assembled the product weighs 38 pounds; 28 lbs. would have been better. That is a bit heavy for a single person to put on the roof cross bars to prevent any possibility of dropping and damaging your vehicle, especially on a taller vehicle profile like mine. My roof rack system is limited to 160 lbs. so an extra 8-10 lbs. could make a difference. I went back and checked and there was no information in the product advertisement regarding its weight.

Destroyed by Maker
Manufacturer destroys this product while making it. Unacceptable amount of damage all over the unit. Rusted up dripping. Stained the paint on my brand new $40,000 car!!!!!!The mounting bolts intrude into basket.Avoid this product

get parts
Manufacturer sent this roof-rack with missing hardware. I contacted Amazon and they have to way to send me the missing hardware, no options from manufacturer. Items missing are the bolts and nuts used to attach the rack system together. without the hardware the roof rack is useless. I have to buy them from my local hardware store. I was not able to add a screenshot of the item.

Broken Support / Terrible Instructions / No Replacement Parts
About 100 miles into our road trip, one of the support buffers broke. The instructions were very vague. Did not know if the support buffer should be up or down? Luckily my wife fixed it with a rubber flip-flop and a cargo strap. So, carry a cargo strap. Overall, kept our gear secure. I wish the support structure was better - and no way to order a replacement parts.

Works good
Works great. Hardware is cheap so buy stainless steel nuts and bolts after you receive it. NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL. So pay attention to what you're doing or you'll fight with it. If you put on a smaller vehicle like me (2024 crosstrek) you will feel the weight even without anything in it when you go around curves. That's why I took mine off. Also I was afraid trying to go through carwash. I actually wouldn't recommend doing that it could rip the whole thing off. It does seem to be heavy duty.
