This is a fantastic and powerful submersible water pump with some really nifty features built in. The automatic on/off float switch activates the pump when water levels rise and shuts it off as levels drop, preventing dry runs and making it virtually hands-off. There's also a clever integrated handle that doubles as a float holder, so you can override the float if you want continuous operation down to an inch or so of fluid height. The pump includes multiple discharge fittings to match different hose types, including a garden hose adapter, which adds a lot of versatility. I’ve been using it to drain an inflatable pool, and it works incredibly fast, much faster than expected. The long power cord adds convenience, and the build feels durable and reliable. A quick test in the bathtub even proved the suction and output are more powerful than I realized (maybe not the best test spot, unless you enjoy unexpected indoor rain) haha! All in all, this pump does everything I hoped for and more, and I’d definitely recommend for any draining needs!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this pump because of the volume of water it moves for my fountain. Had the pump running for about 3 months and the it started to make a horrible noise. Contacted Aquastrong and they replied right away with some ideas to fix the issue. After trying what they suggested I then sent a video showing what it was doing. Within a day they informed me they were sending out a new pump. Can’t say enough of how pleased I am with their customer service. Would highly recommend

My husband did the shopping research and settled on this sump pump. After using it 6-8 times, he continues to be very happy with his selection!It's well built and strong. It pumps a lot of water quickly, and it's not too noisy. We use it to empty a 500 gallon tank, and we're pleased with its speed and effectiveness.This is a good quality machine, worth the price, doing a good job very well. If we needed a second pump, we would buy another one just like it.

Arrived open box taped shut by shipper or previous owner, missing screws to attach handle (possibly other hardware), packaging and included parts askew and looking very much as if someone had this before me. I purchased NEW not USED. Will probably return for refund.Update same day: As it turned out, nothing was missing - the handle is a snap-on, no hardware required; my bad! I tested the pump in a 5-gallon bucket, and it passed with flying colors except that it does leave about a quarter-in of water in the bottom, which means if I use it on a flooded floor, its going to leave a quarter inch of water standing on that floor, so the shop-vac will still be needed.

My previous pump was 1/3 HP and had two annoying issues: It was slow and it did not go down deep enough, so I'd be left trying to get the remaining water out with towels or whatever. This pump is great. While it does not feel nearly as solid as my other one, it works perfectly: It drained way faster and, more importantly, it got WAY down so there was barely any water left. Definitely recommended.

So HAPPY to get this little fella! Using it to pump water out of the pool! Its powerful and amazing. I used to have to use a shop vac to clean the pool at a certain point of draining it. This was an answered prayer!!!!

Used it for draining an above ground pool. Went much faster than the standard drains. Once I got the pool down to about 6 inches I used a power washer to clean the bottom up and it pumped out faster then the washer was pumping in. Naturally it will clog if you have debris in the pool, but worked great on a little dirty water.

It's working great for us.We chose to use our heavy duty garden hose and seems this facilitated the sterady strong flow of water that was being pumped.27 feet Pool had a little over 1 foot of dirty water and came to 1 inch in 2:30-3 hours.Got a mesh hamper from dollar tree, put a tile inside and the pump on top. This way the pump would be stable and the mesh would "filter out"leaves, frogs and tadpoles.For those who are wondering, we are relocating the tadpoles to a near pond...=)Very happy with the purchase... hope it will last years!
