Clore Automotive SOLAR BA7 100-1200 CCA Electronic Battery and System Tester

Got this as i had replaced the battery on my motorbike and after a couple of months the new one never had enough power to start the bike. After testing with this (very easy to use) it showed my battery was ok, knowing this the fault had to be elsewhere and it turned out to be a fault in the starter. Very nice unit would highly recommend.

bought this some time back. I can confirm this really is a neat bit of kit. Checked the battery my self with this then went to get my MOT while i was there asked them to test the battery with their test and behold both testers saying the same thing charge battery. With this tester you can check the state of your alternator, see if your battery will hold a load under pressure all very cool. check out youtube vids. save your self with huge repair bills get this first. If your battery is 5 year or more just change it

Works well easy to use no language problems but good idea to learn battery terminology as the unit can test a range of batteries types.

Wish I had bought this first? Would have saved me a great deal of aggro this tool immediately showed my battery although holding a good charge? Was in fact useless!! Excellent piece of kit

This tester has had several months of heavy use during which time it has performed flawlessly. It's only limitation is that it shouldn't be used on batteries with a capacity exceeding 125 A/H but considering the price it has proved to a very good buy.

Was getting good readings from much more expensive testers than this and the company I bought my battery from would not replace the battery although it was constantly failing to start my vehicle. I have now been back and tested the battery in front of them and they have changed the battery. so I have basically got this for free. Watch the video on u tube which shows a test result similar to mine.

Works fine, feels a bit lightweight though so will see how long it lasts. Not a fan of the colour system. I like the font on the screen though.

A brilliant device certainly Thing is, that out of 5 perfectly working batteries in as many cars that have been starting without hesitation throughout the winter this cevice has pronounced four to be working at 60% effeiency ie. needing changed! Dont know what to believe now!! As a testing device its easy to use.

個人がバッテリーの良し悪しの判断が難しく、カーショップに持って行き数値を見せられても信用するしかない。それがこの商品は自分で測定し判断できる。バッテリーが新品の状態で測定しておくと後の測定に比較もできる。自分が使ってみての感想ですが、ちょい乗りの多い車は意外にバッテリーの充電状態はよくないんですね。バッテリーはﾌﾙ充電状態が理想と聞きます。定期的に確認する事で予備充電の必要性も分かります。

Unit is quite a bit more easier to use and perform battery tests than say just a load tester alone can do. Gives usable information in a digital format that tells you more than just a needle on a scale does. Can check battery condition, starter draw, and charging system as well. Very compact. Found instructions be quite comprehend-able and not to bad to follow. They were much easier to follow than the instructions included with the brick type load tester I bought a few weeks ago which were a nightmare to follow. I tested 6 batteries with the BA7 for voltage, CCA, and CA values in the time it took to test 1 battery with the brick tester which you then had to wait about 10 minutes for the unit to cool to test the next battery. Happy with this purchase.

Now this is an excellent, must have battery tool! I have 6 cars under my care with adult but not yet independent children. I like caring for the cars. Batteries are always a concern as to reliability. I live in northern Midwest with cold winters. I have every tester known to man, and the knowledge to use them. I know how to maintain batteries with proper fluid levels. However, until this type of tester was developed in recent years, a very important feature of the battery was going untested, and many good batteries were being thrown away, and many bad batteries were being used when they should have been thrown away. My understanding from extensive study is that Clore Automotive developed the Midtronics tester that is the state-of-the-art in the battery industry. It is very expensive, owned primarily by dealerships and battery shops. The Solar BA-5 and BA-7 are less expensive consumer versions of the industrial Midtronics tester. I have used this Solar BA7 for several months, on about a dozen batteries, in warm and cold weather. IT IS OUTSTANING. In short, Solar tester tests conductance through the battery, as well as voltage and CCA. The conductance is the ability of the battery to flow current through the battery, and is a measure of the surface condition of the plates inside the battery. If the plates are corroded with sulfation, they will not flow the electricity as well as they should, and the capacity of the battery is reduced. My experience is that battery that is internally corroded can pass the traditional voltage and load tests, but fail this tester that includes its measure of internal conductivity! And, on the other hand, a good 800 CCA battery can fail a traditional load test with 400 CCA, and still have good internal conductance and capacity, and years of reliable use left in it. In this second example, I have found that checking and correcting the fluid level in the battery by adding distilled water to the fill indicators is usually what is needed for the CCA to go back up to spec on a battery with good internal conductivity. Anyway, this tester considers the voltage, CCA, and conductivity, and gives you a reading, and a green light if the battery is good. It couldn't be better or more accurate. Mechanic reviews say it is as reliable and accurate, (but does not have some features like a paper printer for a diagnostic report), as the more expensive Midtronics by Solar. FInally, the BA5 just tests the battery. The BA7 also tests the starter and the alternator. And it's SO simple. This new technology is amazing, and saves more money that it costs by properly diagnosing a battery the first time it is used!!!

アマゾンUSAとかで若干安く購入することも出来ますが、簡単な日本語説明書と保証付と言うことで、こちらを選択しました。 商品の発送はとても早かったので、直ぐにバッテリーのテストが出来ました。 肝心の作動状態等は問題無し、説明にあった気もするが正確にCCAを計るにはバッテリー単体にしないと誤差がかなり大きくなるので、車載のバッテリーを計測する時はバックアップ電池の用意をおすすめします。

Cool, nice and small, works great/fast(done testing in 2 seconds) but still not sure how it works without the heating element. I work in a large auto shop with 2 Digital Snap-On battery/load tester that'll take a few min to do a load test, & if battery is low, it'll charge it first & do a load test which can sometimes take few hours(charging part). So i really wonder how this little solar B7 can do it so fast.(2 seconds, wow)
