Great chalks for a teaching board-- but of course their performance will depend on the specific chalkboard and the products it is being cleaned with. (I have some boards in the building that are not suitable and some that are great.). These chalks have excellent weight and hand control and offer a thick, visible line without shedding too much dust. They have a very thin wrap that protects your fingers-- it wears down with the chalk so it doesn't hamper use. It is not a super-saturated chalk with a solid line that "pops"-- although I love that look (especially for diagrams) those are inherently dusty, messy, fragile and wear incredibly quickly. With the right board these seem to be as close as you can get to a bold line without the disastrous mess. They also erase easily without leaving a strong shadow. I appreciate the color variety. They are extremely durable and last a long time-- though try to avoid dropping on a hard floor because sometimes they can shatter. Highly recommended to at least try if you are a regular chalkboard user on a quest for your "go-to" teaching brand. And these were shipped *very well wrapped*-- no breakage or chipping en route! It took a bit of time for them to arrive, but the seller was clear about the delivery window at purchase, and it was delivered on time. Would certainly order from this seller again.

THis is the best chalk I have ever seen. I bought it for my grandchildren as a treat - it is hard, relatively dustless, and the colors are virbrant. But it isn't cheap, don't leave it outside in the rain or dew.

I tried Crayola colored chalk, but it barely showed up on the brownish chalkboard, broke SUPER easily and so much dust I could barely breath. These chalks are a DREAM! The colors ALL show on the chalkboard and there is hardly any dust in the air. There is a ton of dust on the chalk tray, but it's not a pen...it's CHALK!!!! The best chalk ever :)

Great chalk! I use this for marking up my chalkboard painted jars that I use when making homemade Piima yogurt! Super handy and the colors are so pretty!
