ULTIMAPowerflex TS Tapered Surf Casting Shockleader

Started using the tapered shock leader a few weeks ago and I love it, don’t have to worry about snapping gear off when casting hard for distance with a 70lb casting end, and a perfect small knot, tying the 18lb end to my 18lb main line.Greatly reduced those annoying weed snags that catch on the knot.

likes to fire off the spool itself if allowed any slack or open bail arm and i mean FIRE off, not what you want on a beach at night. will use them up but not buy again.

Have not used a tapered shock leader before but this is very good, I use it with my 15ft rodand it helps me cast that little bit further would recommend

This shock leader has some memory, if the shock leader loops of the spool you have little chance of getting the twists out of it, never had any problems with the Tronix Pro tapered leaders, would definitely not purchase again.. The mono from Ultima is good but this is terrible.
