Collins 40 Visitors Book Assorted Colours

Beautiful old style quality workmanship.

I bought this for our holiday house, and am really most impressed by this version. I have used Collins books in the past and been perfectly pleased, but this is a cut above. The luxurious gilding down the sides of the pages, the soft, tooled, slightly padded leather look cover with gold embossed tile designs, this maroon coloured book is well worth having. Especially, as to be honest, the visitors books are something I would definitely try to save from a fire, as they hold such precious memories.In fact I notice that the blue version is the one I have had before and thought I had re-ordered so I must have been seen the maroon one in place of it and I am delighted and can highly recommend this one.What I find important is the freedom given to guests by the generous, open, spaciously available lined pages that are not regimented into columns like some 'visitors books'. This means they can if they chose simply enter details such as date, name and address. Happily most take the opportunity to write s few paragraphs about what they have enjoyed here, recommendations for outings, pubs, restaurants, walks etc. This is very helpful indeed. Children too enjoy drawing pictures, sticking in stuff and generally making their mark. Then future guest can leaf through and read the comments. Some are pleased to see their previous entries, going back years, as a sort of diary.So the fact that this book is so beautifully designed and well put together means it will last and last. I am very pleased indeed with it.
