My original factory installed power port started to loosen after about two years of use, I had to “jiggle the cable” to get a power connection. I installed this replacement power port on a Dell Inspiron 15 sub model 3511 about five weeks ago. No issues to dateThis replacement has the same dimensions and cable length as the original OEM. See attached photos.As of the date of this review at a price $6.99 on Amazon it is a fraction of what Dell charges for a replacement. Considering my factory installed power port only lasted about two years I wonder if a Dell supplied replacement would be any better in quality.My laptop does everything I need it to do. It is running Windows 11so as long as it does not become outdated due to changes by Microsoft I will keep it. With that being said I may purchase a couple of spare power ports to keep on hand. The trend now for newer manufactured laptops is a USB C port for power and charging. I can't say when the demand for the older power port replacements will slow down, I just want to be prepared in advance.If you feel comfortable working on a laptop or other electronics there are youtube videos on opening up a Dell laptop and replacing the power port. I suggest after opening up the laptop disconnect the battery cable first and reconnect last when done replacing the power port. There are inexpensive plastic pry tools kits to remove the laptop cover and disconnect the battery cable. Plastic is a good thing for this relatively simple project.

Perfect replacement for the power jack on my Dell INSPIRON 15-3520. Less expensive than OEM replacement part. Extremely easy to install.

Worked great to fix our Dell computers. Unfortunately Dell is known for problems with the power ports. They all seem to stop charging because the port becomes loose. This is the perfect fix. Takes about 10-15 minutes to replace the old one and "how" to do it video is online.
