Love Ollie and Silas!
I loved this so hard! Silas and Ollie were made for each other, from their surprise beginning, through everything they endured, to their HEA. This series is amazing, and although I've read it out of order, I love everyone and their amazing couples. The friends are hilarious and so integral to the stories, and I love seeing them in all the books.Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter embodied this couple to perfection.

LOL, Funny, well written and full on sexy
Silas is such a well written character and is hysterical. I laughed so much through this book. Yes, there are the sad moments, but the male friendships of the hockey players ring so true. It reminds me of our family home full of athletic young men, as they poke and joke with each other. The friendships of all the characters are strong, which I enjoy. If there is a critique, it is once again how abruptly the story ends. I realize this is a series, but wish the author put more of a polish to the last pages.

Fake dating = real love
This had a good story line and that’s what drew me in initially. The story begins with the MMC being a professional hockey player who gets his heart smashed to pieces by his cheating girlfriend. Who of which he had been with since HS. He’s 31 and was about to propose. After being with someone for so many years, it didn’t make sense why he waited so long to propose. At any rate, it’s a good thing he didn’t. However, he took it personal and held himself captive in self doubt, embarrassment, shame and feelings of inadequacy. It truly broke my heart. Silas deserved love. He is a loyal, protective, self disciplined man who was extremely successful in all areas in life. Just not in love. Being cheated on seems to do more to men than women when it comes to trusting again. I felt the author truly captured this with Silas. Now the FMC is an extremely feisty senior in college studying journalism. Shes 21 and is an intern for a big media producer of some sort. She has a nemesis who has put a target on her back in the office, who just so happens to be the reason that Ollie randomly kisses Silas at the bar and begs him to pretend to be her boyfriend to save face in front of this backstabber rival she works with. Great storyline as I said. What I didn’t like (and this may contain some spoilers) is how Ollie was too bold for her britches. She swore a lot. I’m not a prude or opposed to swearing at all but it just turns me off when a female is swearing like a truck driver instead of being more refined when she meets a man. Her character was absolutely funny though. I found myself laughing out loud while my husband was trying to sleep at the things she said to Silas. The other thing I didn’t like was how aggressive she was towards sex. I 100% love that she is in touch with her needs but my goodness!!! Men tend to not want a woman who is too aggressive- especially when they are coming out of a been cheated on relationship. Men are men and they still have the need to be the hunter/predator. I feel like in real life, this guy would’ve high tailed it out of there being that he’s also a professional hockey player and can have that kind of woman anytime.I didn’t like that she was rude. She made fun of his profession and athletes in general. That blew my mind. The smallest percentage make it to the big leagues in any sport and this 21 yr old sex crazed wet behind the ears college kid is going to cut down someone’s profession??? Left a bad taste in my mouth. Again, real life he wouldn’t have made any arrangement with her other than to run away. I just found myself feeling for Silas throughout the book. He needed a feminine woman who was sure of herself, patient, kind and who had class & manners. Not a feminist. That word in itself is toxic in this day and age. A woman can still be confident & have a career without being callous and always putting men down. All in all Ollie did truly prove that she was on his side. It’s worth the read. My personal preference is that stories can be more realistic and not so man bashing. When the female characters are too strong it stinks.

I’m not huge into hockey but it was a good read. Loved the twist and the ending. Good romance with a hint of sex here and there

Fun, spicy, and awesome FMC
Book Review: Right Man Right Time by Meghan QuinnSynopsis: Silas Taters, star hockey player on the Vancouver Agitators, got his heart broken by his long-time girlfriend and is struggling to put himself back together. When a random girl in a bar asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend in front of her rival, it leads to a fake-dating arrangement that benefits both of them. But Silas’s lack of trust break them before they even have a chance to start.Review: This series is one of my favorite series of all time. This book was actually the first book that I read despite it technically being the third in the series. (The MMC has a piercing, it drew me in). I love how punchy and teasing Ollie is as an FMC. I feel like FMC’s with big personalities are underrepresented in romance and I love her in this book. Silas was definitely a jerk and had growing to do, but at the same time I understood why he had trust issues. It was easy to root for him and Ollie.Overall I love the spice in this book, the angst, and the compassion of the couple. It would have been 5 stars if the ending moment was more drawn out for Silas, it felt like it wrapped up a bit quick for me.Jess’s overall enjoyment: 4/5⭐️Spice level: 3.75/5 🌶️Angst level: 3.5/5 ❤️🩹Plot: 3.5/5 🗺️Writing: 4/5 🖊️

such a great story!
I was chomping at the bit waiting to get into Silas Taters mind and it was amazing. I wanted his story since his first line in “Kiss and Don’t Tell”.This story is the definition of Grumpy/Sunshine so if you are a fan of that trope.. read this book.Taters is still healing from his break up and we finally get to find out what happened between him and Sarah. God did I want to hug him. He is determined not to let himself be that vulnerable with another person but he didn’t see Ollie coming.Ollie was the perfect counterpart for Silas. She tested him in ways no one saw coming, kept him on his toes with her outrageous stories and made me laugh out loud with her banter. She is literally the type to sit up and go for what she wants and when her eyes land on Silas, he doesn’t stand a chance. What starts off as a simple fake dating agreement that would benefit both of them quickly turns into so much more. This book had just the right amount of hilarious moments, emotional moments and damn when the spice drops 😏.I also have to add how much I love these hockey boys. A couple of their encounters had me legit laugh crying and I couldn’t recommend this series enough.

Extremely good!
I loved the book and the characters. I also loved that finally we get to meet Ian Rivers and see a bit of his love story, but I would have hoped that he would get a book of his own.
