Durable and a fast for toy grade R/C car
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this drift style car for myself to play around with. The car ships with slick plastic wheels installed and comes with four rubber tires for more traction. It also included some little traffic cones, a screwdriver for changing tires and opening the battery door on the remote and car as each has one screw that secures the compartments closed. There was a rechargeable battery included in the bag of accessories and one battery already in the car but not connected. After charging up both batteries with the included usb charger, installing one in the car, and scrounging up a couple AA batteries for the remote control, it was ready to go. The remote has a button to select low or high speed and by default it starts on low. The car is responsive but very limited on precision turning. It is very good at spinning, even with being four wheel drove. I set it up with front rubber and rear plastic wheels to be able to drive straight if I wanted, without sliding out unless I turned the wheel one way or the other. The body cover is plastic but similar to what you might find on more expensive cars, as it's survived many side slams and running into solid structures. When you're spinning in circles and having fun accelerating and sliding, that's bound to happen, so they created a strong car body it seems. I did get one of the front LED headlights knocked out of place once, but just had to push it back into a holding bracket on the frame, took a few seconds. Overall I'm impressed with this car for what it costs. I did try out the range as a last test as it doesn't have an antenna visible outside of the car. About 100 feet away it was still responding to the controller and could probably go a little further, so plenty of range to play with. Also, the battery pack was still powering the car after 25 minutes of play, so that was awesome too. I would say its good fun for kids and adults who don't need a hobby grade machine.

The rc car that drifts
The car came in its own colorful box inside which I found 1 car with 4 drift tires (slicks), 1 remote control, 2 batteries (1 was found inside the car), 1 charger, 4 regular tires, 3 cones, and 1 instruction. The car came with 4 slicks installed. So after I charged a battery, plugged it in, and switched on the remote control, the car took a second to grip the floor before charging ahead. But then I turned the car's direction and immediately I could drift the car beautifully! To not to lose that second on the start line, however, I needed to switch the 4 slicks with the included 4 regular tires with better traction. Once I have done that, this car could be as fast as my other rc cars on the start line. Understandably it would not drift much. The car has a very low clearance of 1/4". In comparison, my off-road rc truck has a clearance of 2 1/2". So I only run this car on smooth paved roads. And of course it is not water resistant and cannot float in water. There is a low/high speed button on the remote control to give the car extra power when needed. But there is no progressive throttle or steering. They are either on or off. Any variation on throttle or steering has to be realized via button press timing. When the car was switched on, the head light LEDs would turn on. But when the remote control was turned on, the LED indicator would only blink before it could connect to the car. Once it had connected, the LED indicator would turn off. So it was easy to mistakenly think the remote control was off while it was in fact on.The remote control needs 2 AA batteries which were not included.

Super fun drift car
This car is almost perfect. It drives well and drifts ok but I think it would have been better and made more sense to have proportional steering and throttle. I feel like I need more control of my speed to be more successful at drifting this car. As is, it's still a fun car. It's a toy drift car but it has decent speed for racing. Comes with another set of tires giving one for drifting and the other for regular street racing, a spare battery and charger.

A fun little car, cool Charger inspired shell, plenty of parts.
This little car is fun if you have the floors for it. You'll need a smooth surface like tile or wood to slide around. The best part about this kit is the spare parts, you'll get extra clips for the body, some cones to set up a track, and a full set of wheels with grippier rubber to give the front end extra grip or to just use this car as a regular, non-sliding RC car and race around. This is a no frills RC with not too many extra features like suspension or lights, but the battery compartment is easily accessible and the battery life is pretty good. It does what it's advertised to do and that is sliiiide.

Sad Christmas
My son received this car yesterday as a gift and we are very disappointed. While this car looks awesome and the battery life is good and the car is fast and it is easy to use, this car has broken apart less than a day after being opened. The pegs and clips holding the body to the frame are very weak and 2 out of the 4 have snapped off, the part holding the lights in place have also broken off. This car is not being driven roughly or poorly, it has been driven in open areas with few obstacles. For the way it has broken, it is not worth the price paid.
