The Definitive Firebird & Trans Am Guide: 1970 1/2 - 1981
I gave this book a five star review because it has a lot of information for 222 pages. With that said, to be a definitive guide, it needs twice the number of pages. It lacks detail and photographs on the Formula model. Also, it talks about the Banshee III concept car but only shows one picture of the front end of the vehicle next to a Trans AM. Another area that needs to be covered in more detail are the turbocharged models. This book touches on all of the models, but lacks significant details on all of them. It is a good book for the price, but it is not a definitive guide.

Excellent addition for anyone interested in 2nd Gen Firebirds and Trans-Ams
I have loved 2nd Gen T/A's since they were new and thought I knew a lot about them. This book offers a lot of info (I learned some new facts) that I found to be an interesting and enjoyable book. Most photos are color (except for the ones that were in black & white originally), and are of unaltered cars, just as they were when new, or taken when new, and on heavy stock paper. Rocky Rotella did an incredible job on this book and of all the books I have on Firebirds and Trans-Ams, I would say this is the best I own.

Packed with info
Rocky does an amazing research job on this book. It is packed with more info than the 67-69 Firebird book which is also amazing. It is really a treasure and must have for any serious Pontiac fan, whether or not you like Firebirds. The section on the SD 455 alone was worth the price of the book.

The best book on GENII Firebirds and particularly Trans Ams
I read them all and this one is the most detailed and insightful book I've found on Firebirds, their history and development. I've owned three Trans Ams of this era and still learned a bunch from reading The Definitive Firebird...Highly recommend!

The new "Go-To" book for Firebird/Trans Am enthusiasts.
Pontiac great, Rocky Rotella hits a home run with this book. I've never seen such a comprehensive, diverse, and expertly researched book on the 1970-1981 Firebird/Trans Am as this one. Fantastic photographs compliment the well-written text, which is perfectly balanced between engine/trans, interior, and exterior. Even a seasoned Firebird/Trans Am enthusiast will learn something new. You will not be disappointed.

Must buy for all Firebird fans Great information.
I hope the author makes a book for the 1982 - 1992 Firebird. If he does I will buy one right away.
