Not harsh coffee but praline cappucino?
Skin chemistry plays such a role in how fragrances smell on people. I was worried about the bad reviews but I know food smells based in vanilla work on me. I love the chocolate one so I tried. On me I get a subtle coffee more like a flavored cappuccino. It's pleasant and I i get a very sweet almost praline scent on the dry down. Its not as long lasting as the chocolate one [which people always say smells like brownies on my skin] but it's cheap enough to reapply whenever I have to. Layering it with a vanilla lotion really makes it's a café treat.***I had to update this because it actually does last for hours. It ends up becoming a skin scent and I don't know notice it, but friends who have met up with me in the afternoon after I put on in the morning could smell it when they hugged me. Or even when I was walking around their homes and they got close enough to get a with. It also lingers on clothing and smells like the most delicious marshmallow praline chocolatey yummy business lol. It's fantastic. But it definitely is about skin chemistry because a friend who loved it on me, tried it on herself and she said it smelled awful. And we literally put on a spray one after the other from the same bottle. If your skin hates this, then that's unfortunate, but I do recommend you giving it a try if vanilla is in general tend to work well for you. I also layer this with the chocolate musk one and it's just so good. But more of a skin scent towards the end of the day as opposed to just wafting off of you.

Way too much coffee
I don’t know what I expected, but this perfume smells exactly like coffee — and nothing else. It was so strong it gave me a headache. I felt like I was walking around smelling like a tea shop or a café. Not for me at all.

Let it settle
The initial spray Is a coffee liquor scent, Very strong, very potent, yet it’s not bad. The key to wearing fragrance is letting it dry down. It lasts a long while, and it dries down into a nice powdery cappuccino scent. It would be good layered with vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, or any rich gourmand scents. The key to spray this perfume is to let it dry down for at least 30 minutes to an hour. I would spray this on directly after a shower and let it settle on my skin and as I’m stepping out of the house, I would layer my other scents on. This is not a perfume that you wear when you’re rushing out of the house.

Definitely Bitter Coffee
Crown Perfumes, Al-Rehab French Coffee: This definitely has a more bitter coffee scent that other reviews talk about, with a small bit of sweetness behind the initial sprays after dry down. It remains a bit bitter. This would go well layered with something candy or sweet smelling. On its own, standalone, I might give it 2 or 3 stars, based on my tastes. Given 4 stars as an excellent compliment to existing fragrance collections; worth its low price point just to have and wear occasionally.

First Impressions 🤔
The media could not be loaded. My first impression of this French coffee perfume was mixed. The opening notes were harsh, with an unpleasantly rotten and bitter scent. Fortunately, it's not overpoweringly strong, which is a small consolation. As the day went on, the scent transformed, but even in the dry down phase, it retained an ancient, almost musty aroma. I usually enjoy fragrances that others perceive as "older and musky" btw! However, the perfume does eventually evolve into a more pleasant scent. After some time, it settled into a gourmand black coffee with cream fragrance. At this point, it becomes a skin scent, not projecting much beyond a close radius.Curiously, when I asked my dad to sniff my wrist during this stage, he initially thought it smelled like pancakes. After I mentioned it was a coffee fragrance, he could identify it, describing it as a very sweet coffee with milk—delicious in his opinion, he likes milk in fragrance and in general.Personally, I'm not a fan of the sharp and unpleasant opening. I prefer my perfumes to smell good right from the start. I'm hoping that with time, as the perfume sits and macerates, the initial harshness will mellow out, the overall experience will improve and the yummy dry down will project more. For $8 Im not mad.

doesn’t last long, but smells amazing
UPDATING AFTER A WHILE OF USE!! so, all the good things i had to say about the scent still stand (see original review below). however, i feel like that scent doesn’t last even through the hour :( it disappears from your skin so quickly!! i’ve tried so many things to make it last longer but nothing works, im genuinely so disappointed. this smells SO good but is effectively useless. such a shame.. i love its scent so much ;(ORIGINAL REVIEW:i don’t understand any of the complaints this has, i think this perfume smells DELICIOUS. it’s like a VERY sweet coffee, but honestly if you were to call it some other dessert i’d 100% believe you. not exactly what i was expecting, but i love it anyway. it smells more like a toffee or something to me. it has some strong caramel-y notes, almost. or a latte with some VERY toasty cookie-like notes. overall definitely recommend this. it may not have a true coffee scent but it does smell super nice nonetheless. one day will find a true coffee scent, but for the time being this is great :)

Smells a little artificial
Good if you really like the smell of coffee, very sweet. Like almost too sweet, but for the price, not bad.
