Permatex quality cheper than auto stores.
What I expect from Permatex. Change the oil in my stump grinder gearbox. Gaskets are unavailble for it so I used this version of ther sealer. Apllied easiy and excess easily cleaned off after tightening the cover after curing. Have not run yet but I expect seal to be good when running.

These products have come a long way. Just be sure to get the exact goo you need. Good Product.
I ended up not using this but I have used it before. The package was kinda beat up but the tube was alright. Just be sure to get the exact kinda of goo to fit your exact needs.

No leaks, good quality sealant.
Used this product on a 2010 ford f150 diffrential. I've used this several times with no issues. One bit of advise, many videos out there on YT and many apply the sealant on the diffrential cover but when you're on your back trying to put it in place, one tend to touch the sealant smearing it. It is much easier to put the sealant on the differential housing first and then putting the cover. It avoids touching the bead of sealant.

Seems to work well. No leaks so far.The only negative is that the RTV is very thick and takes quite a bit of pressure to get out of the tube.
