I purchased the Geain Dado Insert Plate from Amazon to start cutting dados for my woodworking projects, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. The fit was spot-on—like it was made just for my table saw—and installation took less time than brewing my morning coffee. It feels solid and durable, which gives me a lot of confidence as a beginner trying not to mess up... or lose a finger. This plate really helps with clean, accurate cuts and keeps everything safer and more stable while I learn the ropes; because this is so compact i can store this right under the table saw until ready to use it again. All in all it functions just as described. If you're new to woodworking and want cleaner cuts without the stress, this insert is a no-brainer. Get one before your next project turns into a "why is this crooked?" moment!

It’s disappointing that these are all made out of plastic and not metal. The flex causes problems. Was unable to get decent cuts with the OEM dado insert plate. So got this thinking it might be better (perhaps a stiffer plastic). Actually cannot tell whether it’s better I. General, but this one is better than the other that I have and it’s usable. So long statement that, I’m not thrilled but I can work with this one, couldn’t with the other. The set screw adjustment work will, fit is perfect. Just wish there was no flex to the plastic (but again, this better than other I had)

The plate fits well, but has a little flex if you push down hard. It allows the full range of movement for the blade height. It works very well with a sled.

Knowing I would buy a dado stack for my Skil table saw, I bought this plate thinking I would have to use it whenever I used the dado blade. However, it is really only necessary when cutting a wide dado; otherwise, the plate that comes with the saw is fine for most narrow cuts. This plate will accommodate dados up to 5/8"; if you need one that will permit wider cuts, you'll have to make your own, a popular mod among table saw owners. It's plastic and has set screws to adjust its height on the saw; treat it well and it should work just fine.

The dado plate fits perfectly and comes with adjustable screws to get it flush. The dado bolt is also included for use with dado blades. The bolt is slimmer than the standard bolt allowing more thread bites.
