The main thing I was looking for was a set of lights I could mount outdoors to my house that I could leave up year-round and program it to display the colors for whatever season or holiday was current. This does exactly what I wanted! There are lots of colors to choose from as well as a variety of flashing styles! It works through an app you need to download onto your phone, and parts of the initial set up take some time, so be patient. You can create and save multiple light programs. You can also program the lights to turn on or off at certain times, so no need to attach a timer to the power cord anymore. I just got this so I can't yet comment on how well they last, but I will say they do look really cool! EDIT: Similar to another review, I started having a few issues with the last 5 feet after a couple of weeks, then a week later the last 10-15 feet. If the light pattern is slow moving, everything is fine, but if I use a quick color-changing pattern the last 10-15 feet of LED's struggle with certain colors.

Lights were easy to install and can be controlled via an app. Rope lights looked good on the fence and had fun changing the color patterns on them! My problem (this is why I'm reviewing) is I purchased 2 units and have experienced problems with both. Unit 1 stopped working then works again BUT no matter what color I pick on the app lights displays red. Unit 2 has worked just good but when a solid color line is selected the end of the rope lights , opposite end of the power cord, displays multi color. Color line should be solid start to finish.

Seller sent me a new one and it is working wonderfully. Defective product Not sure if it bent and this caused some lights at the end to stop working. I just put lights up.

I love these! The options for colors/patterns/brightness are fantastic! Easy to set up! They look great!

Very well packaged. Easy to set the lights up to be controlled by smart phone. Lights are much dimmer than I expected. The LED lights on the back of my TV are much brighter.
