This Youngfit elliptical unit has a manual mode where you can pick or change to one of 5 speeds the unit provides as well as the ability to change the direction of the pedals while you are peddling. It also has 3 pre-programmed modes (P1, P2 and P3) that provide a mix of speeds and direction of the pedals for a 30-minute timed session. You can use the remote control to select the 'mode' you want by aiming the remote directly at the unit from where you are sitting. (There is an app you can download to change parameters using your phone but I did not try this- yet!) NOTE: You CANNOT change the Programmed (P1, P2, P3) modes to another mode while the unit is running a programmed (P1, P2, P3) mode. You have to stop the unit to select another pre-programmed mode and then start the unit again for another 30-minute timed session. You CAN however do this (change the speed and direction of the pedals) when the unit is running in the manual mode. The unit counts and shows the number of 'steps' in an upward direction (Viewed on the unit's green LED display that can be seen in the dark). The unit counts the time of the sessions you choose beginning with 30 minutes and counting downward to 0 time-where it shuts off automatically.) The unit has large pedals that would accommodate any size foot. There are only 2 bolts that go through the top of the pedal where you add a washer and nut on the bottom of the pedal to attach the pedal to the unit after unboxing everything. A small metal wrench is provided to make a final tightening of the nut under the pedals. It's very quick and easy to do this with the directions provided. It is an attractive-looking unit with a telescopic handle that works like a luggage handle to pull the unit to where you want it. (This was the deciding reason I selected this unit over the others I researched- it was easy to move around with a built-in handle). You press a luggage-handle-like button on the handle part that faces you (as viewed from sitting in your chair) and then pull the handle out toward you from the unit. You can stand the unit in a more upright (or diagonal) direction as you pull it on its built-in wheels to another location in your residence. This makes relocating the unit a very easy task-( just like pulling a piece of luggage by it's telescopic handle through an airport!). While operating the unit on the carpet in front of my reclining chair it did not move from it's resting position as I pedaled it. I did not try doing this on a smooth floor but suspect the unit would not move as you pedal it due to the weight of the unit and the non-skid pads under it. The unit was delivered in a timely manner and after using it for a week I felt the calves on my legs starting to get a little stronger and my knee joints perhaps more fluid- there wasn't much strain at all on them since the unit does all the work for you! I liked the operation of this unit very much and feel it will improve my overall leg movement and knee -action with regular usage! I would recommend this unit as an effortless way to help your leg's calves and knees to stay in shape.

I didn’t like the difficulty of putting on straps. The remote didn’t work, I have arthritis I tought that was the problem of starting it. But it’s so small someone else had a problem. But outside of that it works great. Worth the money. Speed was fine, and it was quiet. No heavy.

This machine can be used for a physically disabled person to do exercises at home. Easy handle and work properly.

Extremely well packed. Arrived on time. Pro: Operates smoothly and is totally quiet. Has a detailed & well published manual. All metal construction. Weight is 22 lbs, does not creep, but easily moved by the extendable handle. The remote has a magnetic case to keep it handy and is much easier to use than reaching down to the top mounted controls. Adding the ap to the cell phone will be handy when the remote is out of sight. In use daily now. Con: Avoid using from chair's with casters that can't be locked. It's a wild ride on "5".

I did my research and looked at all the reviews, and how well the products worked. I then took a moment and checked out the prices to see which was more affordable to get for my buck. Well the good news was this product was a lighting deal, it was cheaper and a better price, it also had Bluetooth for our cellphones to use as a remote control too, not all machines come with that use. So that's why I bought this product, out of all the others, to choose from. This item came very fast in the mail, great shipping too. I've opened the package up, I put the paddles on, which was fast and easy to do. Finally I looked up the apps to download to my phone & connected the Bluetooth. I am 100% satisfied for this product, love all that its capable of doing. Thanks company, for making this product, its one of --"The Best Machine Ever Made!"

I had this item less than a month before it stopped working all-together. I loved it while it worked, but it that was extremely short-lived. It was well packed to avoid damage during transit, but it was very heavy and had to be assembled after it was out of the box. I had to call family to help me get it out of the box at all because it's so heavy. I used it every day, but before I'd even had it a month; it quit in the middle of a workout session and would never start up again. I tried moving it and plugging it in a different outlet, but nothing I did helped. It was totally DEAD and wouldn't even light up or turn on. I returned it rather than replace it. I didn't trust to replace it and then have to go through the unboxing, assembly...etc....just to possibly have it happen again.

This little machine is the best for seniors like me. no trouble to set up take down and move around. It gives a very good work out with you puffing and sweating. I went to sleep this AM for 15 minutes it stopped and woke me up. I use it everyday, I do get a little sore but my balance and moving has improved.

The machine works after Amazon sent a replacement unit in exchange for the initial unit, which quit working after one use. However the second unit is missing the remote control, so it seems that the manufacturer has quality problems.
