Great unit, read and follow the instructions, some fabrication might be required for new installations.
This unit works well. Read the instructions well. They say to hook it up to electricity before you mount it on top of your trailer. This way, you can see the fans turning and inspect for any rubbing that results from jolts during shipment. This unit needs to be light weight to put on top of a camper or box trailer. Do not expect a light weight unit with a light weight frame with a compressor and fan motor mounted to it to arrive in perfect condition after UPS shipment. The frame base metal will be bent due to shipment. You will need to bend it back and make sure both fans can turn freely before mounting this on top of your camper. Also, if you are mounting this to a unfinished box trailer with no interior, you will need to fabricate at least a 1/2" thick sheet of plywood to facilitate getting the conduit/wiring to the unit. The control panel needs to mount to a flat surface with some small wood screws. The control panel has no openings for the wiring to enter. The control panel separates the in and out ductwork, and must be used as designed. Your camper or trailer needs to have the wiring to the 14" by 14" opening in such a way that there is a flat wood surface inside the camper/trailer for the control panel to mount to. Some slight fabrication will be needed to mount this to a camper / trailer where there has never been a unit before.

Over all pleased!
We love our Brisk Air II. We purchased the heat kit with it too. The unit was fairly straight forward to install except for the amount of pounds of pressure for the install. We found it unnerving placing the 40-50 lbs. of pressure while attaching the roof unit to the ceiling unit. The recommendation seems too much. The unit itself cools and heats fast. It is also much more quiet when compared to our older penguin unit. We did notice a strange scraping sound when we first ran it but it disappeared after about a minute of run time. My husband did make note that the holes on the top unit for the heater placement did not line up properly and we had to drill a new hole to allow for the heating unit to be properly secured.

Awesome..
Awesome...Much more efficient than the unit it replaced. I see a lot of people complaining about noise. If you compare it to central air in your house... yeah, it's noisy. However, it's NOT any noisier than a window unit of similar output. Mostly what you hear is moving air, (fan), noise. There is no way around that unless you don't want it to blow out the cool air. The compressor is quiet when it kicks on. The biggest install issue was getting it up on the roof, the rest was a breeze. Once the unit was on the roof the rest was done in just under an hour. Oh, it was missing the long mounting bolts but the ones from the old unit fit. I would expect that they are usually in there.

Keep us cool in 106 degree heat in SC
Arrived on time, no damage. Replacement in old 24ft, 1982 RV . Vaca in Myrtle Beach, SC during heat advisory of 100 -106 degrees. Kept us cool and alive. Dangerous heat! Be careful with the plastic vent levers cause one broke. Will be trying out the heat this fall. A bit pricey ... but isn't everything for RVing?

Best ac unit for the money 😎💥
Very powerful unit, I have this thing installed on my tractor slipper roof. This unit will freeze my sleeper inside with 103 degrees out and I am a living proof of that. Installing is not easy for dummy people, you have to know a few skills to do the job. Electrical and mechanical. The only issue that is not fair for the price you pay is that you have to buy the controls and heat separately this is already a high price unit. This people are taking little advantage of the situation.

Read your warranty, it states freight is covered for repair but beware.
Our roof top unit failed after only 90 days. We had purchased a new complete system and the box was dented on the corner but it worked. Later It leaked 410 Freon and stopped cooling. We requested warranty repair from the seller. They replied contact the manufacture. We did only to find out we have to remove the unit and take it to one of their warranty repair companies for service. Dometic may state freight is covered in your warranty, not true. Call them first before you purchase any Dometic product from any seller on Amazon.

very good item. had it professionally installed on roof
very good item. had it professionally installed on roof. works better than I thought it would work but it is louder than I would like. we're a 117degrees here in lake havasu, az; so it won't cool the whole 5th wheel by itself and I have to run the primary ducted rear unit too. it's right over my bed and I can sleep comfortably at night which is what I needed. hope this helps others.
