Disappointed
Lovely book, shame seller failed to inform buyers that it is a child,s book and as such carries no in depth details of barn owls.

An interesting and superbly-illustrated guide
This 24-page book is an interesting and superbly-illustrated guide to this particular species of Owl, which is found all across the world. It is intended for the youngest readers, but adults will enjoy the superb photographs. It is a ‘landscape’ format book - wider than it is tall, allowing for wide-angle photographs to be printed. Each two-page section consists of an excellent full-page photograph of the owl in question, doing something relevant to the chapter’s subject, with a facing page containing a four or five line easy-to-read caption ideal for a small child to read out loud. There may also be a map or diagram sharing some of these pages, including a size-comparison with a budgie! Among the photographs you will see these owls in action and staring moodily into the camera, as well as a picture of fluffy chicks. These owls make their homes in empty buildings (among other places), and the photographs give them in windows give them a very mysterious, if not surreal, appearance..The Contents are -P04: Shriek in the nightP06: Worldly owlsP10: Hungry huntersP18: Family to feedP22: GlossaryP23: & websitesP24 Comprehension questions & Index Read more
