opened and took it apart and put it together as the reviews suggested. showing my missus how the blade can be cleaned better.but have not "used it yet" but it appears to be a good addition to my kitchen tools or as my daughter says "stuff"

Nice
I was a little disappointed the color does not match the picture. It is more of deep coral rather than hot red. I like the spatula though, it is sleek.

Nice spatula ...
I admit it: I'm a kitchen tool junkie. But in my defense, I LOVE to cook and do it often, so I tend to really USE my kitchen tools. I've had rubber spatulas and silicone spatulas, and by far the best performers are silicone. This falls into the second category. It's a good quality silicone spatula, decent size, and reasonably well made. The handle has a "non-slip" grip, and the business end is sufficiently "stiff" to push eggs around a skillet or scrape a bowl of cake mix or frosting. It cleans easily in the dishwasher.I won't speak to its sexiness -- I'm a firm believer that "sexy" is in the eye of the beholder -- but as far as a useful kitchen tool, this performs nicely. Would definitely recommend.

TAKEN FOR A RIDE!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING POOR QUALITY PRODUCT!! THIS IS A DOLLAR STORE PRODUCT AT THE PRICE OF A SPATULA FROM A GOURMET COOKING SHOP. VERY FLIMSY AND CHEAP FEEL. I'VE PURCHASED SEVERAL SILICON SPATULAS IN THE $8 TO $10 RANGE THAT ARE MUCH BETTER QUALITY THAN THIS $15 SPATULA. THE ADVERTISING IS VERY MISLEADING!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE.

A Nice Try, But Some Serious Problems
First, a disclaimer. I have very picky about kitchen utensils, and I do not like tools that are not very well made and suitable for either multiple tasks, or able to do one task (and a task that I perform often) extremely well. Devices that do not meet this criteria don't earn a coveted spot in the utensil drawer.=== The Good Stuff ===* I am a big fan of silicon utensils. They remain cool to the tough, have a very high heat resistance, and do not scratch other surfaces. I especially like silicone spatulas because their flexibility makes them ideal for scraping mixing bowls or other containers. This spatula has a silicon blade, a clear plastic handle, and a handle that I believe is plastic. The handle has a slight non-slip feel to it, and is about the right size and contour for my hand (average size male).* The blade is very flexible, and the length is about right for most things I would use a spatula for -10 1/2" tip to tip. The blade is just shy of 2 1/2" wide, and the edges will deflect about 45 degrees with minimal pressure.* The blade is great for such tasks as cleaning batter out of a mixing bowl. Both edges are straight in line with the handle, so you get a good swipe in either direction.=== The Not-So-Good Stuff ===* The blade is not permanently attached to the handle, but only slip fit. There is some friction now while the unit is new, but I can only imagine things getting worse- resulting in a spatula that wants to disconnect itself from the handle.* Even more concerning, there is no rigidity to the part of the blade where the handle fits in. This means that if I hold the handle firmly in one hand, I can spin the blade around the handle with only the force in my two fingers. This was bad on day-1, and has already gotten a bit worse with just a few uses.* The loose interface between the blade and the handle also means that "stuff" can get in there-either food or little bitty animals that eat the food. Not something I want happening with a kitchen utensil.=== Summary ===While I like silicone utensils, this one was a disappointment. The attachment of the handle to the blade was just too serious a problem to ignore for this to be an everyday kitchen utensil. I thought about gluing the blade to the handle, but finding a food-grade adhesive that is waterproof and able to adhere to silicone is a tall order. Baring stumbling across one, I don't see myself using this utensil.
