A bit pricey but definitely worth the money the board looks astonishing, the pcie 5 slot makes it future proof so you wont have to worry about switching mobos when gpu’s finallt catch up! Support very high RAM speeds. And something that was very important to me it has usb ports for days! You defo wont have to worry about any usb extenders as they provide you with more than enough. Overall i think if you have the budget for it its worth it 100% as always its an amazing product from Asus ROG

The board is good lots of ports you really can’t go wrong.

I’m not making a custom loop so some might think this is overkill for my setup. It definitely is, but the features and Oc capabilities are brilliant. At the reduced price and coupling it with a 14900k seemed like a no brainer. Have a white build and this just aesthetically makes the build. The backplate is the only issue I have had with certain cases. It protrudes a few millimetres which make a GPU bracket difficult to mount as the USB C socket gets in the way. All in all happy with my purchase

Great motherboard, slight issues while running 4x8GB 7800mhz ram. I’m unable to use 4 ram Sticks I get crashes non stop but running 2 sticks is working fine

Une carte mere gaming de haute voltige ! Non seulement hyper moderne en full white pour un setup épuré elle est superbement équipée. Je souhaitais un setup blanc complet et avec cette Maximus Formula me voilà ravi ! - 3 ports argb adressables à mon goût il en manque 1 mais tout est cercle avec Asus Aura et ça c'est top ! - 2 ports usb sur le bas de la carte la aussi il en manque 1 à mon avis. Mais avec un splitter tout rentre dans l'ordre. Vous hésitez à savoir qu'elle carte mère prendre pour votre PC gaming blanc ne réfléchissez plus foncez et acheter celle-ci ! Petit bémol pour le vendeur Bora Computeur qui a mis 1 semaine à expédier ma carte. Cela dit très bon échange et très réactif de leur côté.

Das Z790 Dark Hero ist stabil zu betreiben in allen Konfigurationen, getestet mit verschiedenen CPUs bis zur Generation 14 und verschiedenen GPUs bis zur Geforce 4080 FE. Corsair DDR 5 RAM lässt sich allerdings nicht bis zur XMP Spezifikation betreiben. Trotzdem gegenüber den vorherigen Boards aus der Maximus Serie ein großer Fortschritt - bei denen ließ sich schneller RAM gar nicht stabil betreiben (Error Code 55). Laut Forenberichten mag das an der Speicheranbindung liegen, kein seltenes Problem bei ASUS ROG Maximus, kommt aber auch bei anderen Boards vor. Bei der Fehlersuche sehr hilfreich das Q Code Display auf dem Board, auch diverse Ein-Aus-, Reset- und Retry-Schalter. Sehr gefallen hat mir auch, dass alle M2 Slots jetzt direkt auf dem Board platziert sind. Einfach zu nutzen mit Schnellverriegelung und großem Kühlkörper. Üppige Ausstattung mit USB Schnittstellen aller Geschwindigkeiten und Thunderbolt 4. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

la scheda madre è esteticamente molto bella ed è bella pesante,evidentemente hanno messo dei dissipatori grandi,l'unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è il prezzo è una scheda madre che è uscita nel 2023,il prezzo mi sembra eccessivo 849 euro.

La ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero è stata un vero game changer nella mia configurazione con i9-14900K, NVMe Gen5 e RTX 4090. È una scheda madre pensata chiaramente per sistemi di fascia altissima, dove stabilità, gestione delle linee e qualità complessiva della piattaforma fanno davvero la differenza. Quello che si percepisce subito è la qualità generale: alimentazione solida, ottima gestione termica e una piattaforma che trasmette subito affidabilità anche con componenti molto spinti. Con una configurazione di questo livello è fondamentale evitare colli di bottiglia o compromessi inutili, e qui la scheda si dimostra all’altezza sia lato CPU che lato storage. Molto bene anche la gestione degli NVMe, soprattutto in presenza di unità Gen5, dove diventa importante avere una motherboard progettata bene anche sul piano della distribuzione della banda e della dissipazione. In una build enthusiast questo aspetto pesa tantissimo. Ottima anche la dotazione complessiva, con Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, numerosi slot M.2 e una connettività davvero completa. Non è una scheda madre per tutti, né per build “medie”, ma se si sta assemblando un sistema top di gamma e si vuole una base realmente adeguata, questa è una scelta di altissimo livello. Costosa, sì, ma assolutamente coerente con la categoria.
